my pal just popped round and showed me pics of his 10 lowryder 2. 2 months 600w 7ltr soil 24hr light on. They look massive. First time I've ever seen these. Heard and read a bit, but never thought it would be true? Would any one care to comment? Pros/cons as I might try them. Plus there nice and short

good to see a DnB fan! Ive just finished my first grow of 6 Diesel Ryders under 500W of Enviro lights. There not massive! wink1.gif

Pro's - Quick, Easy.

Con's - Hardly the conisseur's choice. There a nice smelling plant, but if its quality you want, your best bet is getting some proper seeds not auto flowering.

There not that much quicker to any other strain grown indoors. Well apart from Sativa's.

Veg a plant for 2 weeks (20/4 light), then flower it for 8 weeks (12/12) or so (Depending on indica dom. strain)

L/Rs should be grown under @ least 18/6 pref 20/4 even 24/0.....but never 12/12....They are geneticly designed to Autoflower
under any time scale...there is no "veg" "flower" period with autos...............I have 4 L/r2s bout to finish @10wks they have been on 18/6
for the duration........Ive explained this a few times lately.....dont you peeps read up on a subject before growing in a way that will
never allow the plant to reach its potential......Peace........M
eta I dont think you ment apart from sativas which will take anything from 10-12 to 15-20 wks to finish, not quite the same thing.

if you read it properly mad, i said if you want a conniseurs choice grow a proper strain, not an autoflowering. THEN went to details about light timings for a normal plant, quite clearly not a lowryder.

Ive just finished growing 6 diesel ryders under 500w of enviro, maybe you should go "read up" on what i said correctly.

Dont think ive ever seen a sativa from seed go 20 weeks?

Indica dominant strains are early as 7 weeks (Killer Skunk pheno for one) to around about 9 / 10 Weeks.

Where i said, Well apart from Sativa's. What you can see i mean is they take a great deal of time longer.

10 weeks seems a bit far gone for lowryders by the way.. personal choice?

you have completely lost me. Read it again and again and still dont see your side. Maybe got our wires crossed somewhere lol.gif.

I was saying lowryders arent a great deal quicker than an indica dominant strain grown indoors. Especially if grown from seed or small veg time.

If you've got clones and 12/12 from start, thats probably even quicker.

Lowriders are ok if you chuck 'em in with something else, cos' they aren't very strong.

They will start flowering when you are still vegging your proper smoke giving you an early smoke but yield compared with a proper vegged plant is pathetic as is potency.

The Lowryder#2s I grew out weren't going to win any cups, but they were 100% stronger/better/tastier than any of the local dealerweed. I actually really liked the taste and high....definitely not lightweight (but not major stoner either). For what they are, and their ease of use, they have a great strength to ease ratio smile.gif

And let's face it, if it means more people can grow their own smoke, LR's and AFs in general are a total panacea....

Hi Guys,

Thought I would jump in on this thread to ask a Lowryder question. I have one on the go and it is at about 9 weeks from seed. I have looked at the Trichromes and they are mostly clear with some cloudy. Tried a very small bit last night (oven dried for 15 mins or so) and it was easily strong enough for me -in fact another hit on the bong would have knocked my tits off!

So my question is what happens if I leave it another week. I don't want couchlock - I'd rather have an up type effect. Should I just neck it now or will I miss out on a better yield? I should add that until a week ago it was under fluorescent tubes but for the last week iti has been under a new 250W HPS.

Advice most welcome my friends.

lowryder plants can grow more than 14 inch av got two thats well over 20 inch and buding nicely.

Hi all,

I know most of the growers on this forum and elsewhere won't make the auto flowering as their first choice. But I think every grower should at-least give them a shot, not to produce primo buds but just to interact with auto genes man.

Personally, I think they are one great wonder of the canna breeders hard work and they grow, smell, and smoke well. I asked for the original Lowryder, but instead I got LR#2 and it was amazing man. I would say "Just do it" and go for them to find out yourself sir and good luck.
