If you cant get it from DJ then look at seed co's that use DJ's Blueberry in their own work.
I know Sagarmatha use the DJ BB in their blue strains....

could it be, that its more a case of the best farmer , than the best blueberry?

Indeed it could, but the best farmer will get better reults from DJ's than nirvana's for example simply because the genetics are better and the plants will be less varied.
But dont take my word for it, dig up all the old blueberry posts if your bored m8.

I've grown DP (for about 5 years) and DJ Shorts (2nd crop), not much difference that I can see so far, except more pheno range in the DJ version. I read that DJ short supplied the genetics for the DP version.

DP blueberry is renowned for mutants, i had 4 out of 7 seeds were freaks, out of the three good ones 1 was male. average smoke, i've seen loads of other people have mutants as well. never grown any other version

Indeedly!
I think we'll be hearing a lot from the Killer Skunk in the yaers ahead. So much more entertaining than most of the modern strains, and I suspect it has big medicinal properties too. Time will tell. But if I had a wedge, I'd pop it on the KS for sure. Odds can't be more than 2:1, though.
