Come the end of my current grow in early december i'm going to do some tidying and redesigning in my flowering cab. 1st to go will be the sheets of diamond pressed mylar which are just too messy and i feel play host to too many nasties lurking in the seams. I've read somewhere that mylar is pretty much useless unless it's fixed perfectly flat against you walls anyway.
So.....i'm gonna go with spray paint i reckon, matt or satin finish and i just came accross this stuff called plasti-kote which spays on, dries in 30 mins and is waterproof as well as coming in all the finishes under the sun. Anyone used this or similar in their space?

Yep white emulsion for me too, I find mildew forms behind the Mylar/Black & White and starts to smell foisty over time.

plasti-kote is bad paint and the nozzle is not designed for blanket coverage. spend the extra £1 and get a can of Belton Molotow Signal White (uber clean and bright mat paint)
or just use a good quality white emulsion paint.

well iv always thought of paint as a fuck on compared with just rolling mylar out but i know a guy who swears by painted white walls(matt) and his results are decent enough, plasticote drys quick yeah iv used it but not for growing, the price of black and white mylar is only quid and a half a meter if you look hard enough and it doubles out

whitewash is by far the best paint, its totally fungus resistant, i cant get hold of any.

The stuff they use for white lines on tennis courts and footie pitches is titanium dioxide. Available on fleabay. No idea what you'd mix it with though.
Useful stuff, sunblock, whitener for toothpaste and it seems, antiseptic when hit by flourescent light. The article was about hospitals so might be antiseptic with mh or hps as well.

Beltons one of the best paints for putting a piece on a wall. Crylon isn't bad, nor the spanish and german montannas.
Apart from that I wouldn't be painting the inside of my box with spray paint. Might be quicker and you'd get a better finish but not worth it when cheap emulsion will do the job just as good. Keep the spray paint for things you want a decent finish on. I spray all sorts of stuff here. I can get professional end results on most things with a spray can. My next spray paint adventure see's my TV go from black to camo. I'm just waiting for the warrenty to run out before I go mad on it.
Nice work that peps

Primer the surface and you should be good to go on steel with any kind of paint. Preperation man, tis key in painting on metal.
