now i know alot of folks here have already got this game so i thought id start a thread so we could all post our progress, thoughts on the game, hints, tips, hiding places, and t-bagging videos if you so wish

anyway obviously i quite like the game, dont know yet if i think its better than cod4 but then they are some big boots to fill, but still its an enjoyable game and definatly one i will play quite alot
ive still not reached my first prestige on multiplayer and am only on about level 37 or 38 at the moment

Im on PS3 ,been playing 8 hours rank 29 at the moment , I think its good , still undecided as to whether its better than cod 4 yet .

The servers are useless tho really strugle to join freinds and keep getting timed out all the time , and that round course with the train turntable is a pain for glitching ,( cheating scum ) they keep getting under the map , it really annoys me .

but so far i like it , are you Xbox or PS3 bud?

I've been loving it, only been able to get a few hours in around work so far but plan to make up for that this weekend

I'm not sure myself whether it;ll stand up to 4 over time but it's fuckin good fun atm

i quite like the 'type 100' at the moment, but not really liking the game
i honestly think 4 is much better, just a shame the maps wernt abit bigger on it
im hoping 5 will grow on me

I am still as bad at this as I was on COD4.

I am the worlds best assister so if you need someone on your team who will die ALOT and kill very few but will get 10 assists, im your man! My bullets are made out of rubber I swear

Never mind, I never gave up on COD4 so I will have to deal with being everyones bit** on COD5. I wouldnt mind but I reach 5mpbs on my broadband, my ISP doesnt block ports etc and I am in no way restricted. Its the other idiots jerking all over the game that I cant hit! No it aint me because 70% of players are fine but I tend to chase the impossible to hit ones that are jerking around and then get picked off by a sniper

I arent bitter honest ...............COD4 had me in a state sometimes. How come when I die, from my point of view and in real time I turn, fire my weapon at their face several times and then they kill me, but from their point of view in the replay I barely turn round never mind fire a shot!

Me thinks my connection or there is a split second difference dependant on your connection, their connection etc etc. Either way it leads to me getting hit alot.

I still love it though

The nazi zombie bonus level at the end is brilliant although i can only manage level 12 on my own.

the (PS3) game gets 9 out of 10 from me

honestly i hate the game now, i dont even play it now
it is nowhere near the quality of game that cod4 was, not in the same league at all, the spawns are all fucked up and the graphics are dogshite imo
ive been having more fun on mortal kombat vs dc universe tbh, thats and awesome game

got the game today, as said above, gonna be hard to beat cod4. the single player seems a little bit to much going on (not very hard)
online seems pretty cool, dont like the graphics and colours tho, and the guns are gonna take getting used to. Cod4 pissis over it tbf
however. The zombie game is absoutly fantastic. that in itself could be a game. so im pretty happy over all

well having played the beta and now the final game i can only say i love it.

its not as quick as cod 4 in some respects but when you get used to it and adjust your gameplay its amazing.

still got the noob tubers hitting the spawns in s&d, still got shit spawns in hq, basically the same probs as cod4 but i still love it.

prestige one level around level 50. i'll update as i go, but plan to stay around the 5th prestige as that badge looks like the sas one.

I'm loving the single player atm and think the coop play action would be super, I love the weapons, but I like my ww2 boltacton type stuff.

The only problem I had was finding a server to play on

I haven't got world at war yet, I'm waiting for the next modern warfare.. which I heard might be coming out sometime next year.

I might try the campaign on PC over xmas the illegal way though.,.

I really enjoyed the single player but its very short. I've managed to get the multiplayer working I needed to patch it and then it seems the patch has issues (cant refresh servers and connect until you have quit the game ).

The pace of the game is quite a bit different than CoD4 from the decrease in weapon power. The P90 was banned from quite a few ladders hehe it sure is a tasty gun. The Maps seem to have a touch more atmosphere, smoke ect which is nice.

I'm really not keen on the weapon perks (silencers/sights ect) they really don't fit into a WW2 theme and seem to have mostly been cut and pasted from CoD4. Although saying that it isn't in fact CoD5 its Call of Duty: World at War and still the CoD4 engine.

Well I got hold of WAW due to the fact id hammered COD4 previously in my cousins, so it wasn't going to be anything new to me.

I am happy with it, not tried it out on live yet, cleared the single player missions, i like my ww2 shooters however.

sniper mission was really hard in the single player (the one with the windows). it seemed quite random so i had to get my bf to do it for me

I can't get past the training so I've given up.

It shouldn't be this hard right at the very beginning.

it's not, try it on easy level
just takes practice and patience

try get some people to go through it with you on co-op first, just to get abit of practice in, if your having trouble

love this game finished it on vetren the other day the last german mission was hard and the mission with the sniper was a killa gonna give it a go on live in a few days so cant comment on multiplayer

only bad thing about it was short but most new games are

I'm playing it at the moment on vetran, is this a tough game or what, must have died about 30 times trying to kill the sniper at the window. I'm at the last level now i think inside the reichstag(sp?). Great game

I'm missing playing :'( cant wait to get my pc put back together.

It would be so much better if people didnt hide in gliches and lobbies with less than 50% snipers might be fun too. As much as i lke the idea of a ranking system all it does is incourage cheats and point junkies.

i can get under seelow, roundhouse and castle, and i can get outside of makin too, i used to be able to get under downfall too, but that go patched as did one of the castle glitches, however on castle there are at least 4 glitches i know of ( theres the skywalking glitch at the back, the bit where you get under the map from the bridge and 2 bayonet jumps that i know of.

Glitching is great, if treyarch dont want it to happen then they should test their maps better, me and some mates have been building maps on far cry 2 and we dont get glitches in them because we go through each map in a group work out whart needs to be fixed and fix it, you'd think treyarch would spend a little mmore time on testing the maps

I have given up playing it online tho, feckin ell, how the pissing ell can they do head shot after feckin headshot Not enjoyable in the free 4 all. I'll give the co-op a blast once I have a bit more experience

I'm bored of it already, not as good as cod4, maps still tiny and only up to 18 players max, the dark graphics/background kinda ruin it for me, didnt they have colours in WW2 ,and Free-for-all on small maps is the last game in the world you'll catch me on
just another arcade/frag fest game which is great if you like running around small maps dying every 20 seconds but if you want a realistic fps then Battlefield;Bad Company is the only one out thats close to real war, takes some getting used to cos of the size of the maps but you've got everything you need for a real war, artillary, tanks, heli's, more players etc.
xbox up to 24 players and on pc up to 64 players.

co-op's great on cod5 though, you can do nearly the whole game with 3 other m8s, there's a lovely little perk on level 2 where you can do the level with a ray-gun but you gotta know how to get it.

yeah thats a cracker that one, i love it when you hear the voice then see the 4 dog statues rise up from under the map.

and as leroy said its really bloody easy to do. the mission is called little resistance, and you can do the cheat on single player as well as co op campaign.

hi all cod 4 is sweet cod5 is ok as the previos post said the spawns are all to f@!£$ but there are good matches to be had! the one im personally waiting for is op flashpoint 2 dragon rising and possably cod6 end of this year.op flashpoint is worth a look tho people
