Hello peeps,thanks for the compliments....I am growing her now yes(well drying her actually) and she is a UK 'clone only' except I have one male as yet unproven but very stinky and possibly a couple more(M and F) amongst some unlabelled '90's pips I have still to germ. So hopefully will be able to make seed and carry the line on....as all the original parents are no longer around unless I'm lucky with some of those unlabelled PotLuck seeds i've still to try out.
I will let u know my progress! JBo

Hello fellow Cannaseur's,Thanx for all the prop's,It's nice to have your work appreciated....
I smoked my first few joints of the only available pheno of PurplePineapple x Skaze a few day's ago and took a few
kwik notes about it so I can do a short report for those that care!
I'll start by telling you only a little about appearance as you can see for yourself in the pics. I will say that
she has shrunk less than I thought she would,which is a releif as she's much smaller in stature than her genetics
led me to expect and didn't stretch to much in bloom.
She has long,slim,slightly skeltered cola formation,but although they are very braided and foxtaily,they are quite
hard and not wispy like some foxtailing mostly Sat's tend to be.So she's no Huge yeilder but I think the 67 grams
she produced,trimmed and dried was more than average for her stature(about 25 inches tall from pot),although she was
InvisiSCROGed and I'm not sure if she'd perform in SOG as yet.
She has dried to more silverish hues amongst the purple and green tones,with the orange hairs a more rusty shade
now.The stems dried have a plum/silver birch look to them and smell like a posh aromatherapy oil's blend.The
trichome cover is good but they are smallish with mostly well developed heads that are 90% clear,10% milky.
Overall from the first jar opening the first fragrance's are like pineapple and dark berries(not blue),with a kind of
fermented fizziness,with some spicey,earthy notes.When you squeeze the buds the fruitier almost tropical flavours are
dominant and its much the same when broken up.When my mate poppped round he thought it was air freshener and weed
mixed together and wouldn't beleive it was the ganja til I shoved his face in the jar.
The first toke was a surprise as although some of the Fruity smell translates into the taste,it was predominately a Nutty,Hazey,Herby flavour not present before in the bouquet 'til it's smoked.It's very tasty with mild but not un-expansive smoke that tickles the throat,but no coughing(yet!).On the exhale its Very Hazey and then you're left with a little sweetness in the aftertaste(which is slightly reminiscent of Psycho's aftertaste for those that know what I mean).
The first sensations were within minutes and its deffo got a quick but not mellow early lift.Heavy eyes came
quite quick but no Indica body lethargy.Mild quickening of heartrate and mild giggles after sharing joint between 2
in 5 or so mins.We listened to some new music and found it great as an Aural sensitivity booster,may be good party
weed.
After another joint 10 mins later we decided its quick in effect and very pleasant with definite waves of highness
but not devestating.
After smoking a number of joints for 2 hours then none for 2 we realised its high lasts well but it's a little moreish
so can lead to over-doing because you wanna smoke more even though you are plenty high already and It can make you a little spacey so not Bedtime weed and not daytime smoke unless a heavy Indy smoker usually.
Overall for potency we would give 7/10 with 90% Sativa and 10% Indica effects.For quality of high 9/10 as it's quite a different,spacey but very pleasant kinda high.
After my friend left I worked on some music(I'm a producer)and found it very focusing in small doses,to the point I lost track of time,but got lots done(so no motivation probs).I desired no more munchies than usual!
So from Initial impressions I'm very happy with the finished quality and think she may be a new fave.I will fill out a proper strain info for her and post it up in the appropriate thread when I've got to know her properly.
Before I forget I found a couple of small put stripey seed's in a bud close to a little yellow nanner(the only one I've seen so far)so I'm assuming they are a couple of s1 seed's and may help with this girl and the 1 boy I have in keeping it going. JBo@UrbnTrchmlgyUK

It's a clone only for now as it's the only one of some old 90's seed's that has sprouted.But I have a few more possible's to germ to try and find some more of her bros and sister's. As it stands I have one as yet unproven male cut and this Keeper female to maybe do some f2's.Plus 3 or 4 un-intended Selfed seed's of it due to a light leak causing a male nanner on one of the lower buds,but I'm not a fan of Female(Possibly Hermi) seed's so will probably stick too the M and F.
It's genetic's are PurplePineapple(Retry's extinct 90's cut) X Skaze which is Orange skelter(Late 80's Sams Sk1 x [Sams Sk1 x CaliO ]bx) X P.Haze(Purple Sativa bagseed x Haze(SacredSeed's). It's my cross from 1995/'96 of the Clone only PP and the Skaze which is my cross circa 1993. The P.Haze was also my work (with help)from a little earlier. But Skelter was an Heirloom hand-me-down from one of the old boys who got me rollin' that is also extinct bar a few possible hybrids.
Orange Skelter and PurplePineapple are two of my Fave ever plant's,I miss them dearly but intend to look through f2 and 3 gens for similar Pheno's to them both if possible.He said Hopefully........... JBo

Nice report that mate. Quite informative. Thanks for taking the time to write it up for us. I still love the effect of the bud formation. Real good looking buds there. I was expecting them to be more whispy than described too. Glad they're nice and compact man. Some good coverage of trichomes like you say, going from the pictures. Beautiful plant. Good report.

Hope you find those phenos your looking for too and that those other seeds you have crack open and produce plants like this one.

Cracking smoke report. Cracking strain too by the sounds of it. Good that you seem to have some S1 offspring too, grow them somewhere separate and keep your eye on them maybe if worried of hermies..

Really see what you mean about it curing to a silver colour, it looks stunning. It looks like the weed you used to get mid 90's that just cant be found anymore. Its v distinctive bud formation too.

Loving your work resinator, we need more people liek you to maintain the old lines and try to preserve good genetics.

That is a lovely looking strain.. I hope you manage to resurrect some of these old strains.. I just caught the very very tail end of the old good stuff before it dissapeared when I started toking.. looking at those buds brings back memories. I am filled with envy, would give my middle nut to grow some old skool strains like that one. Nicely done sir, keep up the good work.

TranSkage\/ crossed first in 2000ish. It is SAGE(BigSurHoly x Afghan IBL) X TranskeiLimeGreen's(SA) X [Transkei.L.G, x SilverPearl). She's a very strong Sativa that makes you sweat within minutes of smoking her then settles down to a very up buzz maybe a little Racey,Not for Newbie's to Sativa high's.

I was outside about an hour ago having a lil smoke and got thinking about this thread and the buds inside.. sorta like a daydream but at 6am.. you know what i'm talking about

was having a little fantasy about a seedbank re-stocking the old, special stuff. Then the police flew over in their heli (twice) so i finished my smoke, came inside, made a cuppa and put a video on..

Wow the leaves on that TranSkage are really dark, like really really dark in pic 2. So waxy looking too. Love the rusty autumn hues aswell.....

The 2 strains you have so far showed us have such wonderful bud structures and colours. I have never seen anything like either of them.

Ta' Captain,nice to be an inspiration for your daydream,but glad u was still conscious enough to spot the Flying Pig's above. It may be a dream that could come true if a few more peep's like me crawl out from under their Stone's with their oldskool strainage and pool our genetic resources.
In my Ganja dream's I am usually a Greenhouse or Dome grower and occassionaly I'm a Geurilla grower...but never indoor (mostly) like my reality...wierdly enough. JBo

Toki and Semtex...Yeah Beautiful colouring is a big part of my selection. I just love the pretty flower's,me! I lowered the temp's a few degree's 4 the last 3 weeks of blooming which always helps to bring the colours out if the plant has it in their genes. Those very dark waxy leaves felt very waxy too and thats with loads of flushing,so is deffo a genetic constant,

The TranskeiLimeGreen's is a strain I Picked up in that area of South Africa in the early 90's(after a marathon uphill hike) and its a Sativa but Like most SA weed is probably mixed genes(possibly Indian and Asian) from hundreds of years back as they tend to be a little quicker and racier than other Sativa's. I got seed from one really cool grower there from his next year seed stash and also picked up a few seeds from a draw of Same strain but diff grower from the area. I selected from the best of both diff TLG although they were both very similar anyway.
I grew it and stabilised it for a few year's but lost my Dad plants(seperate location to mums at the time)and loads of seed's to Bastard Robber's at that time and was left with only TLG x [TLG x S.Pearl] A 3/4 TLG plant as closest Male stock to make the TranSkAGE with.But SP added extra resin and vigour so not that gutted in the end.
The TLG was a lovely plant and much taller and branchier than other SA strains like Malawi and Swazi etc. It was quite light green with purple/black hue's in cool temps and had a citrus smell amongst the spicier woodier smells you get in SA dagga + lots of small amber crystals that make the most original smelling Hashish. The taste was soft and citrusy and the high was longlasting and intense with a quite patranoid element for light smoker's.I loved it personally,best thing bar Durban Poison and Malawi Cob's I found in 4 1/2 months strain hunting in 5 neighbouring countries.
I plan to go back to the Motherland this year if possible as I want to finish makeing my 'SuperAfricananHybrid' and wanna do my bit to preserve the dagga I love as pure strains as well.Which was my original intention with TLG way back when.......JBo

Definitely like the sound of the Transkage there mate. Sativas that make you sweat saves on winter fuel bills not the only reason I like em though

Yeah She is definitely a winter warmer,and has a very soft but thick taste for a Sat and is more Sativa in high than her 11 week's may suggest so there's another couple of reason's for ya... JBo

Man tyhat Black Gold looks serious.... so so nice and rich colours. I really think your strains have the Wow factor. And the dry bud shots look awaesome... that bud of celery looks evil, as do the Scud and Sugapuff... i dont know where to look!!!

Thanks Semtex,The 'BlakGold' is my fave pheno of 'GoldTooth' which is a hybrid of PotOfGold and SweetTooth.She's pretty strong in effect with head and body quite balanced and like syrupy hashish in flavour and fragrance.
You wouldn't wanna live where I live...believe me mate! Not the best area,but we do have good bud round 'ere to keep us sheltered from our environ's.

Out of interest Res, for how long and by how much do you drop your temps for?

And do you think it has an adverse affect on yield?

Lowering night-time temps for last 3 week's is usually surest way to promote the pigmentation...I lower my night temps to 12 to 14c approx. I only think yield starts being affected when daytime temps are too low.I believe cold night's promote trichome production in Indica leaning strains which is more important to me than plant tissue which is the majority of its weight and therefore yield.
I aim for 'High Resin Yield' if possible as the rest is just Rope. JBo
