Hay all,
It was suggested in my grow diary that I perhaps take cuttings from my one remaining plant and try and get a couple more, so I saw this link below (although am not sure about posting links on here), its about making a cheap propagator would this work if I filled it with bio bizz put the cutting in a peat pellet which I put into the soil??

If that link fails basically all it is, is a plastic bottle cut in half with medium in the bottom what do we think?? In that example they use thought they use a "frosted" milk bottle, would clear plastic not be better??

it seems to be a good cheap DIY propagator that uses all the basic principles, - although it's no better though than sticking your cutting into a small pot of mix and putting a plastic bag over the top. in fact the pot would be better because it would stop light getting to the root area.
keep the bottom warm and the top cool and you should have no problems.

You can get small electric heated props at most garden centres and diy stores for about £15 if your feeling flush.

Cheapest propogator I made was using zip lock bags and a heating mat. rofl.gif
Nocturnal
My cheapest consisted of a cup of water and a straw. wink.gif

To this day it was the most reliable method I have used. 100% success rate. cool.gif

I admit it. I'm a cutting dummy (although I was doing good for a while). I bought a propagator and already love it to bits! wub.gif

chewable_madness the propagator you show seems like a good start to work with. Odwerb has a great topic on it. Sorry I don't have the link handy. I believe the topic is called "Owd's gone potty". But yeah, basically a zip lock baggy and a pot.
