Full Version: Do I need additional nutes?

Hi. Currently vegging nicely in John Innes Number 3 (with vermiculie and perlite ratio: 4.1.1)

I'm using baby bio every wartering as directed. The plants look happy enough with what they're getting but I was wondering if I should be giving them anything else? I read someone on here before who said they were using baby bio and some B&Q general purpose thing.

ALSO, I will need some stuff for flowering (which isn't too far off now cry.gif ) I was thinking of bio bloom. Approx how many plants would a One Litre bottle help flower?

I've got NO money right now (not even for weed!) But I've still got to get an extractor fan, something to build a frame with and some flowering nutes, so I'm just trying to figure out what I can expect to have to pay on nutes for when I get some £'s, and work it in to the equasion.

Any help would be appreciated smile.gif

Thanks

ps. don't bother asking which plants I have cos they're from an 'indoor mix' bag from sensi seeds 34.gif

if i was you, i would use bio bloom AND grow, that baby bio probably aint no good (could be wrong, but i doubt it)

you will get loads of plants out of it

Well, it (baby bio) has got ; Nitrogen(10.6%), Phosphorus, Pentoxide, and Potassium Oxide So there's some good stuff in there.

But all I really wanted to know is how many plants will a single litre of Bio Bloom flower, as the budget is exremely tight.

Cheers

does it say the N-P-K ratio??

QUOTE
Pot plants are very adaptable, but a general rule of thumb is to use more nitrogen & less phosphorous during the vegetative period, and the exact opposite during the flowering period. For the veg. period try a N:P:K ratio of about 10:7:8 (which of course is the same ratio as 20:14:16), and for flowering plants, 4:8:8

most of the multi purpose ferts ive seen have to much potassium (10-6-15 for example)

if baby bio doesnt have the right balance, you could probably find something cheap in b&q which is more suitable

but even if the balance is off, it will still work, just not as good wink.gif

Hi Grower23

If you buy a 250ml bottle of Bloom you would probably use 1ml per liter giving you upto 250 liters of bloom solution. Cost £2.50'ish.

edited to add nothing 1eye.gif lol.gif.

Hope this helps.

Hi paradox_devil666

Lovely looking plant m8. Just goes to show you don't really need all those expensive canna nutes for good results.

What strain you growing, look very resinous.

cheers

it is sensi skunk and smells funky as fook it its just starting to mature pistils are changing coulor got some skunk #1 clones and a b52 clone cant wait till shes ready never had a problem with cheap nuets and i cant grumble about the condition of my plant but if i was hydro nft id buy good nuets soil is far more forgiving

yea she has alot of resin really frosty and keeps getting more frosty by the day so i cant wait till its chopped dried and cured cuase im gonna be well happy

Thanks, I'm learning every day

This looks like the NPK number for Baby Bio is- 10.6:4.4:1.7

So good on the Nitroen, not too bad on the Phosphorus, but a bit shite on the Potassium side. Well, they seem ok at the moment, but if I get any £'s I'll go get something extras biggrin.gif Cheers BD

UrbMan - Thanks for that. You've put my mind at ease somewhat
pd666 - What a luvvly bluey plant smile.gif
