I just need some clarification on my ec fluctuations. My baby is in 20L tub and is in the 3rd week of 12/12. I have just done a complete nute change to the flowering nutes (cana flores A+

Now I had a slight over nute problem and burnt 1 fan leaf very slightly in veg so I calmed down on the nutes. During Veg the EC never went above 0.7 (that includes 0.19 background)

But now in 3rd week of 12/12 I noticed the tips of some leaves are turning white\yellow\brown. My EC was at 0.7 (including 0.19 background EC) one day asnd then the next day had dropped to 0.5 and my PH had risen 1 level. From reading the forums if the EC drops and the PH rises that means that she is taking more nutes than water?

So I uppsed the EC to 1.0 (including 0.19 background) and rebalanced PH to 5.5 at 6pm on sunday. I have just checked her now and the readings are ...

So it looks to me like she still needs more nutes? From reading the forums the general consensus is not to raise EC more than 0.7 in a DWC bubbler as this will burn and kill her. But if she is already at 1.01 (including 0.19 background) I dont want to push nute levels up any higher.

This is my 2nd time using DWC the first time was a roaring success that strain was Cindy99. Current girl is G13 Haze

not too sure on the strain that your growing as i haven't grown that one myself.
but i do know the pheno of c99 i grew was a very picky girl she really didn't like much food at all.


i've always been under the understanding that what ever your base value EC is to half it.

so 0.19 would be more like 0.09 to 0.10.

there's no hard and fast rules in any form of growing just ROUGH guidelines.

i'm by no means an expert or even starting to scratch the surface of the wonderful world of growing.

but if she's telling you she needs more then i would listen to her and raise the EC value gradually.

yeah the cindy99 was a superb smoke at the end of it I loved that girl! When I did the cindy I just used the cheapest PPM meter I could find on ebay and it seemed to go a good job!.

This time I decieded to buy a true EC meter and spent £50 on it so I could hopefully make my girl as happy :-) The seeds are from Barneys Seedbank and are Fem.

Not sure about photos the tips discolouring is prob too minute to be a problem and I am just worrying over nothing. Here are a couple of photos one from last week showing the sex :-)

all you can do is keep an eye on her maybe up the EC a very small amount.

see how she takes to it.

but unless any real damage is done do you really want to take the risk in tinkering about with your levels.
