Accoustic box in place and without it being sealed properly its quiet as a nats fart at 100 paces !!!,considering the 14 1/2" fan could circulate the titanic (this ship ain't gonna sink though!!),its REALLY quiet !!.

10mm plaster board and 2" x 1/2" batons has been used for the box and bubble wrap/carpet foam underlay has been used for muffling the noise,oh yeah and a 3 " x 2" has been used for the central support for the fans to be fixed to,total cost for box is about £10 !!,NICE compared to the £40 retail for a mdf one with 2 collars on !! x 2 = £80 !!!

A heavy duty polytunnel insulator tape has been used for it's softness/thickness and also had the bonus of being sticky back and i got 20m free !!

White widow and nycd cuttings have arrived and were waiting for the roots to show to get the bitches in there next pots and under the enviro' to get them going like mad hopefully !!!

CUTTINGS :

Second photo shows celotex inlay upside down waiting for glue to bond (this sits inside of lid as a second LIP).

Photo showing black 'band' around top of box is polytunnel thermal protection/insulation banding for putting in between plastic and ring for padding also to avoid tears in the plastic (not cheap),bonus is it cost fuck all and was sticky back !!!

Semi - hard foam has been used as 'feet' for the box and works well in cutting down noise,aswell as anti vibration pads fitted in between the rvk fixings and the wood in the box all together this makes for a quiet box considering the size's : 11 1/2" & 14 1/2" !!!

Spray foam is going to be put in the gaps around the flexi ducting that is now fitted and in place,the box fits perfect considering it was made at mine and was a guess at the size it had to FIT,however my mate relayed the size's of the rvk's via a a4 piece of paper and how much of a rizla packet it was over !!! (true science here only please !!!!!) (DONT YOU JUST LOVE 420 'ER'S STYLE IN GETTING OVER A PROBLEM ,WHO NEEDS BLOODY RULERS THERE FOR THE MAN AND HIS UNBENDING RULES,NOT A HIPPY HONEST !!!!).

Anyway more updates tomm' evening as i might even be doing part of the concealed/stealth hatch also.

Cheers Arai mate used to have a cbr 600f-j custom last summer had a r6 back end and i resprayed it also and had my own graphics on it love the bike's just hate nobs that pull out on us in bad weather !!!!!!!,after a few close calls i hung up my boots as i now have a kid !!.

Forgot the good news my house warming present has started to re-veg for my mate and the last tiny buds were removed and smoked ,gives him something to practice his cutting skills on in a few more weeks as it would of been binned by myself as i have a new mum from this plant and let me tell you i can't wait for him to put it under his lights as his are gonna be 1400w and mine was 250 w at the time and i had roughly 2 - 2 1/4 oz (it was tied up and told to grow as much as possible ) !!!!!!!!
So heres crossing my fingers for him !!.
As i have said my new room is gonna have 900w so my yields should go through the roof compared to my last attempt !!! time will tell eh

Right sorry for the delay in keeping this thread current !!!!,right here goes so far the accoustic box has been taped up and checked to see it work's which it does .

Also so far some roots have come through on the following cuttings :cheese,church,w' widow & nycd so thats a bonus so far so good !!

Other good news is the house warmer has gone ,in my mates own words :"fucking mental" and has succesfully re-vegged for further cuttings,this is a real bonus as it was good smoke with a lovely old school musty taste and that was only after 1 1/2 weeks cure !!!!!,so that shall be done again !!!

one thing,if the celotex walled aint supported proper and you knockinto em they WILL move/possibly break,just try not to be a bull in a china shop around it n ur ok.

Nice one bizz why does it sound like u've been through a wall of celotex !!! ,shit is so strong and yet weak !!!!,nice to be able to walk inside of my room and not have to reach in and move plants for access !!!.
Don't get me wrong i'll have to have a move around when my rooms upto capacity with plants but SO MUCH MORE ROOM !!!!! .

Missed my mate at his house last night so i'll have to take some pic's today 4 ya all to see tonight when i get home,from what he's told me more cuttings have rooted through there cubes (root riot) and should be able to get some compost soon and put them in there first pots for vegging to start.

No worries sf1 we've used 50mm celotex thermal boards, this is heat signature proof and to seal the gaps aliminium tape for the same purpose.

ps photo's are gonna be uplooaded later today as i'm gonna start the stealth loft hatch and tidy up a few other area's in the room,compost has got to be purchased today and he's going for westlands hanging basket compost (added john imnes no3),i've used this myself and find it very good apart from fruit flies for the first 7 days !!!!!.

Nice one for the props boys the hatch is done (allmost),also the fan box is enclosed and sealed.

cuttings are being potted on finally !!!,had some problems with dropping at first but they seem to of re-covered a little according to my mate.

Well wow what a setup. I'm currently running a loft grow too. My question to you is did your loft have horizontal cross beams before you started? Mie has and without the knowledge of how to reinforce the roof I had to build a low room inside the loft space. Am I mental to remove these cross beams? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

bully all i did was build it off of the beams NO PARTS OF THE ROOF SHOULD BE REMOVED !!!!!!!!!!!,THESE BEAMS ARE WHAT TIES THE ROOF IN WITH THE BUILDING !!!!,IF U HAVE MAJOR WIND IT COULD BE VERY HAZARDOUS !!!!.

When building a room try to understurb the structour of the loft allways.

any other advice u need just let me know !!.

Thanks for that man, you were confirming what I'd already thought hence my limited height issues now as I left everything intact when I built my room. Id love someone in the know to have a look at my loft and see how it could be done as there must be a way but ill wager it will be expensive! I'll be watching this with interest mate. Thanks again

My plants are begining to go mental at the moment and visably growing after each visit to water (2 day gap), i'm hedging my bets that this is gonna be a reasonable crop but i'm not jinxing myself !!!!.

Can't wait to turn on the other 250 w cooltube and watch them fuckers go mad !!!!
Not sure if i'm gonna put 2 plants under each light or divi them up differently as 1 could go for 6 under all 3 lights at 900w !! .

remember you saying that she had a great aroma when she was smoked, are you going to grow her out or keep her as a mum ?

Would of liked to keep BOTH as mums as they were Both mental strong ladies BUT from what i have read i'm starting to think it's not worth wile as it lowers yeild EVERYTIME I TAKE CUTTINGS !!!! .
The re veg has allready started on the bare one (it wasn't stripped bare it had the lower growth and hair buds left on for 10 days,then shae was stripped of bud and left ).
Both plants took around 3 weeks to show new growth but as u can see (after 4 weeks things go radio-rental !!) from the church it gets quicker and quicker as the plant goes back to veg chemically within the plant !!!.

After reading high times this month i noticed that there's a sativa called 'burmese' it looked VERY SIMILAR to this in colour and bud compactness SOOOOOOOOOOOOO..... starting to wonder if this has taken the form of a throwback in the gene pool !!!!, either way it's a mental plant !!!.
Came to an agreement with my mate that he reflowers the church and cheese and i get 1/2 the crop from the cheese !!!! .
I can't be greddy as its a close friend and it's his first grow so he needs inspiration and 2 well established plants are gonna be a damn site easier than from cuttings (he killed 20 cuttings i gave him and 15 - 20 from elsewhere !!!!!! ),he can only get better !!!! .

didnt he mention that the plants potency reduces after a year or so ?
if it is, you could get 3 or 4 grows out of it before changing your mum for fresh stock.

The plant u are saying was bare is the CHEESE NOT CHURCH !! ,the church is the bushier of the 2 so far as she's 2 weeks ahead of the cheese !!.

Don't know if this happens to ALL strains that are re-vegged but the first leaves the plant re vegges are sofh edged and have no spikes untill several weeks into veg again then fresh leaves start to get custom cannabis leaves weird huh !!, does anyone know why this happens to the plant sugar imbalance ect or just simply a confused plant ?.
