im using an NFT tank (205GTI) and vita link nutes. never had problems before. The whole two plants in the system have gone pale yellow, and some have disease looking patches. Leaves also seem droopy and some feel dry. Im growing same clones in soil next to the hydro and they are looking healthy, and a total different shade of green.

The roots in the NFT system are all floating in the reservoir itself. Ive only been topping up the solution for the past 4 weeks (all in veg time), and havent fully replaced the solution since entry. Could this be the problem? Maybe overwatering? Or disease? Resr

Im pretty stumped as usually have perfect results :/

oh yeah, and they were looking fine a week or two ago.

thanks for help peeps wink.gif

Dump the tank contents and make fresh nutes mate.

That's been your problem I think as topping up and minor adjustments are ok but not continual topping up over weeks.

I measure my solution in pppm. its been between 400 and 500 pppm. which i cant remember what that is in EC. But ave been moderating the ppm to keep it at right level. Ave just been lazy with the solution. Thought I might get away with it during veg. Obviously not lol.gif

thats like 0.8 ec , to low refil the res with 600ppm i think thats 1.2ec and see how they go

the readings are raising overnight, thats why im keeping the ec so low. But maybe water is evaporating from the reservoir. Room is usually around 28/29 degrees. Res temps peak at around 24, even with a fan blowing air over the surface of the water (this maybe helps water to evaporate?)

cheers for your fine words jiffa mate.

shouldnt be evapourating mate , drain the tank and set the at 1.0 ec 500ppm . then check 24hrs later ,

any pics of the plants

cheers jiffa, no pics sorry. But it seems to have sorted it out, putting the ec up worked... now they're growing massive buds everywhere on 700ppm biggrin.gif
