Hi, i've just started using a bubbler and i'm paranoid about getting root rot.

i've been reading about Barricade and Tarantula from AN but don't know if it's all marketing nonsense unsure.gif
currently nutrient wise i'm using Grow and Bloom from AN and i really don't fancy a 15 step protection plan......i'd much rather just buy 1 bottle that just does the job, if possible

any advise or suggestions are greatly appreciated smile.gif

why would you get root rot ?

have you got airstones ?

how big are your bubblers?

put your wallet away , an will empty that quick time

i grew out a KaliMist from seed and it turned out to be a male, so i chopped it down....and i noticed a little mold on the roots, so i started reading about potassium silicate to prevent this.

yes, got airstone and i'm using an oxy-pot.....think its approx 20L

cheers for the quick reply jiffa smile.gif

Best way to avoid root problems is plenty of Air bubbles and nutrient solution >22deg C.

i was just white and 'whispy' fur on the roots......when i was binning it i knew i should have just taken a pic but didn't sad.gif

i definitely think it was bad

is root rot difficult to get in the bubbler system, and am i just fretting unnecessarily?
water based i thought the chances of getting it would be more unsure.gif

if you got an aistone in each bucket , you should be sweet .

it the roots where white they weren't rotting .

your dissolving oxegen into the water constantly so they wont drown , dont reckon they'd last long without the airpump pinch.gif

22 is good 21 is better, I mean keep it under 22, DWC is a bastard for root rot if your solution temperature is high.

cool thanks snadge under 22....cheers man smile.gif
