Full Version: 24 hour flush
just about to switch over from veg to flower,flushing for 24hrs is what the forums are telling me when i change the res,is it necessary to ph the water,cheers

Some folk even mix grow and bloom together for the first couple of weeks

cheers for the quick reply,just read sometimes around the forum that a 24hr plain water after a res change gets rid of the build up of salts,what you reckon the owd,just replace with de-chlorinated water and add my flores straight away

cheers owd,whats the benefits of using vega and flores for the first two weeks of flower,if any.if recommened,is it a 50/50 mix then
i think plants dont go straigh from veg to flower overnight , its a gradual process of about 2 weeks ime , so they are still growing so want N
this is why i do it . if i dont i find i lose a few older fans leaves to yellowing (lack of N )

i dont get why your saying theres no need to flush... i need to flush mine.. maybe im laxidayzy about the amount of nutes i use n that causes the salt build up.. what nutes do u use oderb, and how strong on the ec too mate!

Plus the build up you talk of cant be flushed out with water so why starve your plants for a day

Hi all - Im in the same position - Going onto 12/12 for the first time tonight. I was under the impression that I should stay on the Veg nutes for a week or so then onto Flower (and this is the start of the Flower cycle!) Is this wrong? using Hesi HW nutes btw. THX

im wrong when i say salts... after joining a few days ago, ive relized i have been over feeding my girls... thanks to all
of ya`s 4 that.. ive been killin em with kindness
it did seem like they started again tho after a flush through with water..
im gonna maintain my ec better from now on...

do you use a mh in veg or the first week(s) of flower?
how about everyone else, mifton, jiffa, Owderb, etc.?
