Anyone reccomend and GOOD seeds from nirvana?
i just dunno ive never heard of good results from them...

my first go was with nirvana and iv still got the ak48 mother
the problem with nirvana seed is you get mixed phenos
so you have to grow a few seeds to find one you like

i've grown K2 from nirvana for ages and it's pretty damn good. But as Leroy says the pheno's are mixed.

Avoid the Bubbleicious. every seed in the pack i germinated turned hermie.......and they werent even fem seeds.

done a few nirvana white widow worked best for me

I grew New Purple Power, great germination and cracking smoke, just put 2 Afghans into flower. The "You get what you pay for" rule doesn't exactly apply with canna seeds IMHO, there are exceptions at both ends of the price range but especially with some of the dearer strains, money isn't buying you the best. From a whole packet of sensi hashplant I got 1 seedling, luckily she was a girl but I'm not going to repeat how much that packet cost.

The real question I suppose you need to ask yourself is what high are you looking for when you settle down in 4-5 months for your first hg smoke?, maybe you can't answer that?!..... I know I can't which is why many people grow several strains at once, currently flowering Afghan, Kali Mist, AK47 and Bubblegum. My last grow was Jock Horror (nirvana), Chocolate Chunk, Hashplant, White Russian, Shiva Shanti, Belladonna and original Haze.

Basically Nirvana are good seeds but cheap enough that you can grow 2 or 3+ strains and have an interesting test

Bart is bang on, a lot of Nirvana seeds are F2 so you get a larger variant of phenotype but can find some nice mothers in the batches.....but if you not got time to grow and select a mother, and just want to get straight on with growing i would recommend only picking a pack that sate they are Nirvana F1's or you will have an uneven canopy.

Nirvana have some quality genetics. I have grown Northern Light x Shiva that was loverly & i got around 3 1/5 oz per plant. Also grown the AK-48 & ICE bothg were very good & the ICE turned purple, orange, red & yellow!
I have tried their Durban Poison outdoors this year. Didnt get very good results, but its been a shit summer, i grew one indoors & though it streched over 6ft & that was with me topping it out at 8" when i put her into flower & again anther 3 week into flower! The buds were small & fluffy, but stunk of bubblegum!?!

ive had ok results too but id avoid the fems because when i had one in flower it was a def male not even a hermey

I've seen loads of decent grows a few years back with nirvana seeds on OG, some here too. I tried a pack of their Orange bud, put 5 seeds down and 4 popped. They all turned out to be girls and each plant was cracking. They were a bit susceptible to leaf spot (not the only ones in there) but carried on making great big fat buds anyway. All were a nice smoke and yeilded okay, one was a bit of a crap yield but i grew it out again from clone and topped it and it yielded better (had a longer veg too). I got another one on the go at the moment and she's wonga. She's in my diary if you want a butchers.

There Blue Mystic gets a thumbs up from me, but found there Bubblicious poor, 2 packs not one seed germed (put in at the same time as the Mystic). The seeds are cheap and there is the chance of finding a good mother, certainly worth a try.

never used them myself, but never heard anything good about them, and i know 2 guys that wouldn't touch them with a barge poll. i've always used sensi seed, and GHS for fem's. i maybe be wrong, but imo you cant go far wrong with sensi seed

As an old sensi seed man myself i personally think there have lost there mojo in the last couple of year's. Very disappointing. Back to nirvana's you do get variation in phenos, but with a high turn over of seeds there all seem to germ very well. Id recommend them to beginners and experienced growers.

gotta say i've had some real nice WW from nirvana, much more sativa than other WW's i've tried.

me experience with nivarna:

ive had some great germination rates and phenos from nivarna,some of them were definitely keepers, i was shocked by them ,

they were ;

northern lights haze - probably the best plant i have grown. lovely n high with great after stone.

bubblicious - 2 keepers here and they had their namesake smell - stoney.

big bud - very skunky/orangey smell,very nice buzz.

masterkush - weirdest smell ,very earthy but not unpleasant at all,taste n effect.

afghani - lovely couch lock

all were crystalline,tight and had good formation also yielded very well,and im gutted i didnt keep any.


at the same time i have had some right shitty phenotypes from them too, but i had more good than bad -the ones i did loved the indoor climate provided for them,get that sorted and you 'll get something nice.

Grew out K2 and Aurora(ended up with 3 decent fems from 20 seeds..), Quite a few friends have thrown a whitey from Nirvana's K2.. should of taken a cut .

Oh and Aurora stretches like mad in 12/12.

too true man, i always found that with Nirvana, Some grow wayyy taller than they need to be, making it hard to even out the canopy. this is the reason i changed seedbank TBH.

I've grown both BBxNL and WhiteRhino from nirvana.

Both strains had a great germination/female rate and growth .

BBxNL my personal favourite smoke .

Like bart said about the phenos but for the price you can afford to germinate the whole pack.

The reason i wouldnt recomend nirvana personally, is simply because you can get much better genetics for not much more money, whats £3-5 a seed in the grand scheme of things?
