hi again to everyone!! my plant started to develop leaf problems over the last couple of days, i've just read through the problem finder and from what i can tell its heat stress (my tent is between 25 to 30 with lights on and 15 - 20 lights off) the light is around 2 foot from the plants, my ph is hovering around the 6.0 mark, and if anything i am under watering. the leafs feel waxy to the touch with dry leaf edges. it seems to be getting worse daily!

here are some pics

dont know what to do next so any help is much appreciated

I wouldn't be using image shack to host your pics m8 ...

upload them to the site ... wink.gif

Looks like it could be fungal .....

How long have they been in the pots?

what are you feeding - if anything?

Updating your profile would also be an idea.... wink.gif

have you been foliar spraying anything?
neem oil?

tnx for the quick reply and i have updated my profile,

i repotted 10 days ago in westlands+ with around 10% perlite it is possible that the temps may have gone above 32 on a few occasions, they looked great a few days ago but have steadily got worse the last two days.

just checked now and my temps are at 29!

The max/min temp differences will cause you problems! You need to maintain a steady temp of 23-25 DegC.

30 DegC says your passive & extraction is wrong, & temps at lights out of 15 DegC or lower says you need to get a heater in there to maintain that steady temp!

are they being fed nutes as i see signs of overfert

also peeps dont bother with ph in compost

no nutes just whats in the soil, if its the temps looks like my 4" extractor is not up to the job will also put in a tube heater to keep them warmer at nights, but i cannot afford better extraction for another 3 weeks!! sad.gif

I would say that the problem is your passive intake, check my grow diary as i use 3 x 4" pc fans as intakes and my drobe temps are rock solid, i only use a 250w HPS though, so runs cooler than your 600w

for passive intake, your intake area should be 5-7 times the size of your extraction. so 4"sq extract = 20 to 28inches of passive intake.

I've tried several setups with passive intake and to be honest, it just doesn't cut it, plus the amount of intake area you need is rediculous. I would go for 4 x 4" computer fans as the intake, for easy install you can get a drill attachment from somewhere like B+Q which cuts out holes just under 4", so the fans fit in nicely if you snap some of the plastic corners off.

Each fan uses about 1amp so you need a 12v charger that can deliver at least 5amps, (to allow for resistance) even better if you can get one that does 6 or 7 amps. Then just get a little electrical connector box, cut the connectors off the fans and charger, and wire the charger to the fans via the box!

If you need any help on this just pm me smile.gif

But seriously, ditch the passive intake, and ditch a whole bunch of stress smile.gif

EDIT: btw the leaf symptoms look like either too much heat or too much nutes, if the plant is too hot it won't use the nutes properly meaning that you end up overfeeding even when you try not to. Sort the enviroment first, then the rest will slowly fall into place smile.gif

would make sense about the passive intake i've only got a 4" intake!!!
nullvoiid
it was the heat, sorted it buy getting a cooltube and changed round my extraction totally. i've still got passive intakes but there now twice as big.
my temps are now 22-26c lights on and 15-18c lights off with the help of a 120w tube heater. there new leaf growth looks fine so far.
here's a few pics of my new setup (
