could someone explain to me why topping up with half strength nutrient is better than diluting with plain water when the ec rises,cheers

I think it's because all of some elements in the solution could be depleted.Not 100% sure tho.

Heya mate , technically you're making sure the chemicals are fully diluted and aerated if poss , at the very least it makes life a whole lot easier , ec & ph it after 24hrs bubbled add it to you're tank all things equal the tank should stay within range plant requirements apart , plain water into for eg a 100l tank thats a lot of messing about balancing alot of water , ps i always heat the added water also unless you keep it in the flower room where it should be at room temp , good luck .

So if you top up with just water you aint putting any of that element back so are not helping the plant at all
You are just diluting whats there, and you dont know whats there

one last question please owd,my nutes have been at 1.0 for the last few days,does this mean they are taking equal amounts of food and water and shall i just leave it until the ec rises or falls or when the res levels become to low

im sorry to the moderaters if im not supposed to do this, im not pushing the product as i dont use them in anyway shape or form but i think this link would be beneficial for the confusion with nut maintance.....
