roof units group fan any one ever heard of these fans?

i have two of them they are 125mm they look like the blue extractor fans but theres one half missing so it like half is for the ducting the other half is flat for screwing on to a wall with a wall cover vent i just wondered if any one has used these before

due to the shape if i use them i will have to build a box and i will reduce the speed with a fan speed controller as i have a 600w i will use two of the fans i plan to connect them with a Y piece ducting so i can run it to a filter

any thoughts on this please comment

before you get too involved, do a test run to see how loud they are.

there not to bad i think i could build it to run silent or not to far off i take buildings down for a living so i can get my hands on some good stuff the fans will be in the loft also so realy my main concern is the noise wooshing in my grow room and my diy box fan

sounds good. The DIY section here has topics on how to quiet that sound in your room with home made inline silencers.

'Roof Units' made my fan, but it's inline duct rahter than a bulkhead. They are near me so it's easy to buy them.

i have two of these fans i got for free i can get my hands on more if i needed but i plan to build some sort of box as the fans are 125mm and i need 150 as i have a 600w hps i plan on building a box of some sort so i can run two fans in to one filter if anyone has any

advice on this it would be well appreciated

another of my ideas was to get another two of the fans and taking the insides out and using the shell of one fan to connect to the wrorking fan to make this a inline fan and have two inline fans running

any comments are welcome

No website I don't think, they're commercial suppliers.

Crusoe, you should post details of the particular fan and maker. My suspician with Roof Unit Group's models is that they may well have the air volume flow you require, but are unlikely to have the power to get anything other than a puff of air through a Carbon Filter, which, having a high resistance, requires an equal or greater developed power for the fan work.
