Just coming to the end of my 3rd harvest of my white russian, all from the same mum & have noticed a drastic improvement over the last harvest regarding ripening & general health.
In the summer I had temp probs, I'd upgraded from a 400W to a 600W for the second grow but it was in the hot period, my temps got up to 34C max and nightime temps of 22C min, my White Russian never wanted to ripen, I ended up chopping at 11 weeks & the smoke is poor.
This grow of this strain has been much cooler, I got a better extract (too late to save last grow) and the weather is cooler. My temps max at 28C and min at 19C and my baby is looking so much more healthy, the buds are no bigger but have much more resin and are ripening nice & even, she is at 9 weeks on wed & she looks readier now than the last time did at 11 weeks! I am waiting a few more days for peak ripeness but I recon I'll chop before Sunday.
Has anyone else noticed environment problems increasing flowering time? I know when its not optimum the smoke will sacrifice, but I never knew it would increase a strains flowering time if not stopping it ripening at all?
