Hi all,

Just wondering what would be the best strains for a greenhouse grow? I was after something as strong as possible with as big a yield as possible!! I was thinking about ak47 but how strong is the smell, would it have the whole street stinking?!! Also Frisian Dew sounds really nice but can't seem to find any smoke/yield reviews? I have grown once before buy it was a while ago and not in a greenhouse, was hoping to get feminised seeds just for piece of mind really....any ideas? Cheers. wink.gif Also what would be the best month to plant?

If you have a greenhouse you can look into force flowering and give your crop a few weeks headstart. Then pretty much any strain would be fine. I don't think feminised seeds are worth it, as you can stick a big bucket over them for 12 hours for a couple of days, and they will show sex.

when you worry about the smell, well i hate to break it to you but.. ALL weed stinks! There arent really any non smelly strains. Its a problem for a lot of people. In the uk, i would really recommend growing an Indica dominant strain over sativa, due to long flowering times. Ive been growing in a greenhouse for the past 3 years and did a sat/indica hybrid last year and it was cutting it close so this year gone for blueberry which is supposed to be 80% indica with shorter flowering times and i think she'll be done in about 2 or 3 weeks.

I guess with a greenhouse you could use an ozone generator for the smell, if you can get a suitable extension lead down there. For precaution, before entering the greenhouse, you'd have to switch the ozone generator off at the mains and open up the greenhouse vents a couple of hours before entering.

Frisian Dew is great outdoors cos it can grow over 7ft in pots and will be done by end of september. It has a purple pheno which tastes very nice and has a high to match, my buddy has a purple pheno left that looked like PPC yesterday spliff.gif
DP'S Master kush does well in a greenhouse, bushes out and doesnt get close to the top of the greenhouse unsure.gif Magic bud would be worth a go, got some left from an indoor grow so i might try them with a few folks next year thumbsup.gif

Cheers for your comments everybody, still not sure as to what strains... was thinking of buying a variety of strains in single seeds, got plenty of time to think about it tho! What month would you recommend starting them off? unsure.gif

Beginning of may if started in the greenhouse, middle of april if the're given a week or two indoors first. Although that's just a rough guide, it depends on your latitude aswel as how climate change effects next spring's temps.
