mate their prob thrips, flood pots and they hop around on top prob better using "pest off" from local grow shop I also got some greenhous fly traps the flie stick to them and you kill the larvae with the "pest off" but as long as that killer says o.k to use on fruit in flower wont hurt but dont over due to start hope helps

Fungus gnats by the sound, not thrips

Like Owd said they sound like fungus gnats do a search on here there are lots of posts about them and good info on getting rid/controlling them.
Main thing is from what i read there alot of people say they dont do much harm there just a pest so dont panic.

Ive had em for weeks now(if youve read my posts you'll know im a tad on the lazy side lol.gif), they hardly seem to have multiplied at all, i just see the odd two or three mooching about now and then, i know i should get round to it soon but i feel almost guilty about killing em. stoned.gif

If there the same things I had tiny little fly like things I brought a mean tiger like stripped spider body about the size of a 5p in from the garden and release it into the loft a couple of weeks later and I dont notice them any more! I have only seen the spider once it moved straight off the plants I dont think it liked the light imo

Hi guys,
I have the little buggers too! Mine hatched out of the B&Q soil I used...Bastards!!
I like to use ladybirds (ladybird larvea eat more) & spiders too. They don't like the heat on 12/12 so if you can make a little shelter for them in the coolest part of your G/room they might stay for a while. Try to make sure the spiders are all the same sex, males have mating spurs(looks like they're wearing set of boxing gloves) and are, in most cases, smaller than the female. The last thing you want is a grow room full of spiderlings.
Try using nature sir, it'll save you worrying about what to use, how much and what damage am I doing if I do use some shit in a bottle. cool.gif

Good luck -A-

I bought a sticky dew plant for my room, the gnats were attracted to it and well got eaten smile.gif The plant loved it! Plus they like alot of light but need alot of rain water, ideal for a grow room

Just get a load of yellow sticky traps from the garden centre or somewhere like bnq. If you want to eradicate them totally you might need to use Gnat Off as this kills the larvae in the compost, used twice (second application after 7 days) you won't see them again. The sticky traps are to get rid of the adults and work wonders.

Nematodes also work well in compost, can be combined with Hypoaspis Miles mites
Botanist
sticky traps will get rid of flies you can buy yellow or blue , blue are meant tobe better for thrips ,
