I recently bought a BudBox L tent and have tried reading/searching for the necessary ventilation I will need to keep it cool.
I will be using a 600w HPS inside the tent and will have 1 or 2 clip-on fans blowing on the plants.
The extraction fans I've been looking at are the Ruck 6" for exhaust and the 5" for intake.
What I am not sure about is if I should get the 'high powered' or 'low powered' version of the 6".

Please help me make a decision.

my budbox get real hot with my 600w, i had to slap a cool tube in there with a 150mm RVK fan and now it runs a treat!

I would always go with the high power, why have Chachi when you can have Fonzie?

(just get yourself a fan dimmer switch with it and you will be sorted)

true peps, more power is always better than less

I've got the same tent... Ventinlation with ducting works out about 80 cubic meters flow rate... Me being a divvy, bought an airforce 125 thinking 'ah, that'll do the job' fucking thing runs at 480 cubic/M flow rate lol.gif,,, live and learn... that fan could do me whole room, fuck the tent rofl.gif

But, as said , better more than less! wink1.gif

I had almost same setup (600w in a 1.2m tent) and had an RVK 150mm A1 first, it was ok during the colder months but come June, July and August it was getting way too hot so I had to buy the more powerful 150mm L1.

If you want to grow through the summer then definitely get the L1 fan, you could use a fan speed controller in the cooler months - but don't buy the cheap ones, get a proper 'variac' (I think) - theyre the ones that control the voltage and dont make the fans hum. Such as the air force fan speed controllers. guitar.gif

I've pretty much got the same setup but I've only ever used a cool tube.
I'm running a 125 for extraction and only got passive intakes for the time being til I get paid.

Works amazingly well tho. Temps stay between 21 and 27 all the time. and humidity holds between 50% - 60%.

The only problem is the wasted light you get with a cooltube. I was thinking about getting a parabolic reflector but I'm reluctant to start changing anything when the temps and humidity are so perfect.
