hej wink.gif
this is actually my first thread here ^^
was wondering if its ready?
i think im gona leave it over the weekend the chop it...

you guys got any advice what to do befour chop... I heard that "flushing " it would be good... so if im right i basicly put the plant in the sink and let the water go throu the soil ...how long do I let the water go and wont it rot ?

and ye.. another little problem.. i spoted a little spider mite i followed a formula that a friend gave me and got rid of most of them... should i bother and will if effect the dryed buds?

here's 1 of the pics

Doesnt look half ready TBH. Just wispy and thin buds. Look at some other peoples grow diaries to get an idea of what a ripe bud looks like.

From what i can see the plants looks a bit unhealthy, like it's been growing under poor lighting or without a good feeding regime. Have you fed it? What lights has it been grown under? How long has it been flowering?

biggrin.gif havent mentioned that its been growing Outside in the balcony so its only sun powa wink.gif

im feeding it biobuzz... for flowering so + Potasium

ive noticed the hairs are became orange in the past 1 week and a half so its not about 70 % covered so from that I suposed that its gona be ready soon...

its a first grow so im still learning ... pinch.gif

here's 2 more pics , 1 with flash the other without it... biggrin.gif you can see the difference tongue.gif

Ah, ok. so if it's been growing outside it will only have started to bud in mid september so its about 5 weeks into flower. You've got a way to go yet i'm afraid. Do you know what strain it is? could take anything from another 2-3 weeks if it's an Indica or another 8 if it's a pure sat.

Browning pistils is not an indicator of ripeness either, may need a little more nitrogen too TBH. you should use grow and bloom nutes in the bloom stage.
Greenzor
ok ok ill add some veg nutes too smile.gif

whell its a bagseed so I got no idea what strain it is but the guy i got it from had some killer stuff that time so its deffo a hybrid...its been growing for ages though....beleve it or not... it vegged so long i thaught it was an industrial sort of weed ^^ it vegged from april to about september rofl.gif so ye...took a freekn long time thanks to the suns super cycle and the plants uber vegging skillzzz ^^

You know it makes sense cool.gif

And just so you know, veg time doesnt affect flowering time in any way. Only size and yield. there are about a million diff hybrid strains out there so the only way your going to know when its ready is by the density of the uds and the clour of the trichomes. Do some reading about trichomes and harvesting then get yourself a cheap microscope from maplin or something (£5). When the trichs go from clear to milky its approaching ripeness. Wait a bit longer and chop when about 20% have turned amber and you'll have a nice rounded smoke.

jup i know... vegging is only effective up to a month so it would be better to force flower after that time... pinch.gif but inexperience was there at the time unsure.gif

whell ill get my self a microscope then ^.^

'force flowering' is actually quite bad practice and can cause all sorts of stress related problems. When you grow out from seed you should always wait for preflowers to show before you flip to 12/12. That way you know they are mature and wont go hermie or do other werd and undesireable stuff.
