Hello all

I have 6 sensi big bud fem and 3 white label northern lights fem on the go currently @ 30 days growing and i got a problem

FACTS :

1. This is my 2nd grow, 1st was with regular white widow and power plant fem and they all showed the same problem during veg (at that time i thought i was overfeeding cause i gave them some biogrow)

2. 1st grow, the problem kinda solved itself when i entered 12/12 and i got rly nice yield at the end. excellent buds (only 1 plant kept the problem severely till the end, and a few spots on the rest)

3. current grow, I haven't fed them anything except some rootjuice and 1ml/L bioheaven 1 week ago

4. 1st grow, the plant that was having the problem till the end was sitting right in front of the fan throughout the grow

5. Current grow, the spots appear a lot on 1 plant, and a few spots on another 5. 2 NL and 1 BB( younger than the rest) have no spots whatsoever

6. Current grow, the worst looking plant is sitting right in front of the fan all this time (quite powerful fan btw)

7. Both 1st and 2nd grow the problem appeared during 2nd week veg and escalated (1st grow was worse)

8. 1st grow was a bit rootbound even before 12/12

9. 2nd grow, plants that show spots were possibly rootbound for 2 days at least, the ones that have no spots had the least developed rootball before last transplant

Medium : Allmix

Pot tactic : 1st grow=0,8L->3L->4L
2nd grow=0,8L->4L->6,5L

ferts : 1st grow=rootjuice, bioheaven, biogrow, biobloom, molasses, top max
2nd grow=rootjuice, bioheaven, biogrow, biobloom, molasses

Lights : 1st grow = 400 watt HPS in cooltube from start till finish
2nd grow = Same 400 watt, switching to 600 HPS as soon as i hit 12/12

Ventilation : more than they could ever use

Temps : 24-25 celsius @ day, 20-22 @ night

I hope i didn't forget anything smile.gif

So, any1 got any ideas? My search led me to believe it is LSF but isn't that supposed to kill my plants? all of them? At 1st grow it didn't even come near to killing them and it was more severe and started very early.

Oh, i have to add that i overwatered my plants when they were seedlings on both grows sad.gif
lazycrazy
dammit, i knew i would forget something.

I have to add that i'm using tap water which i let sit in open container for 2 days and then i close it, i refill when its empty (once a week). I'm not PH'ing at all but i know my tap water comes out as 8 and goes to 8.5 after 2-3 days in the container. I was getting the PH down during my first grow with some general hydroponic shit but i stopped after 6-7 weeks after reading OT's recommendations that it can ruin the microherd in the compost.

lazycrazy
Here's a pic of the garden smile.gif i've been LSTing them a lot

p.s. the fan on the back is not the one i was talking about above, this one is smoother and better placed.

Ok, i also have and ioniser working 24/7 in the room from where my growroom takes air and after searching a bit i came accross this [Spam removed]

take a look at the first reply. Is it possible that this is my problem? I will turn it off today anyway and see

Thanx for the reply m8

Btw i found this thread which looks a lot like what mine got
http://www.uk420.com/boards/index.php?showtopic=129057

so i guess it could be overwatering too?

Hmmm, splashing is out of the question, i'm very careful when it comes to watering, however i got to say that i've been tucking under many leafs so that i got my new growth on top, resulting in many leafs being upside down to the light and touching each other a lot, also when the spots begin they look like they're shining a bit.

I do lean on the too strong air flow, even more now after your reply m8, thank you.

However i'm still a bit worried with this LSF thing everybody seems to get these days. Can some1 with experience when it comes to LSF tell me if it COULD be LSF?
jiffa
i didnt mean you splashed them just said that so you could search and look at other pics of splash damage

i said it could be ,

when 2 leaves touch sometimes they transpire and kinda sweat . they leave a little patch of water /wet
if you then moves said leaf and expose the wet/ water

then when the hps gets on it , it scorches the leaf

was just a though as it looks similar

to much airflow , unsure.gif didnt think there was such a thing when it comes to canna
equinox
id say the splash damage thing sounds right if ur foldin leafs. when the lights are off and the room cools the air trapped between the leaves creates condensation and forms a kinda sweat. then when the leaf moves for woteva reason, air, growth, the exposed sweat burns the leaf. some varieties are more suseptible than others. u can piss on a durban poison and it's ok after. drop a spec of water on euforia and it burns. i dunno, hope this helps.
lazycrazy
Ofcourse it helps... A LOT. Thank you guys. I'm gonna combine stuff here, no more ioniser, no more leaf tucking and less fan speed and see what happens.
jiffa
as long as your replacing the air , you shouldnt need to turn your fan down
lazycrazy
actually, my growbox sits in a room which has open window 24/7. however the growbox draws air from the room not outside, and it pushes it back into the room. I know its not the best possible setup but it is very helpful to control temps and smell that might escape and it proved to be successful during first grow that gave me 220g of dry bud smile.gif

if i was you i would get some ducting to the window, for intake and extraction, or at least one of them, just my 2p,s worth

hope you get it sorted mate
