Just Lately I havent been able to catch anything not even a little pearch or roach. Ive tried lakes and canals bust since monday where I had about 9 little fish I havent been able to catch anything. I think the weather has something to do with it as it has gone quite cold but im sure they still need to feed etc like the carp. Is it a case of finding them and if it is how do I actually do that. For big carp they are more obvious to find but ive been getting in to this type of fishing again recently and wouldnt mind buying a keepnet and trying to fill it up as much as possible.

Fish like roach and perch dont eat when there cold, same as goldfish. you could maybe try going for the bottom feeders, maybe the odd hungry roach will be plodding about down there but if the waters cold they pro wont be. Cant really remember, aint fished for years so i may be waistin your time all. ha. cheers dude much love

i think you just keep fishing!!! i feel you pain i went the other day and didnt catch a thing...

you could try baiting your spot the night before hopefully the fish will be attracted to it and stay long enoth for you to catch em in the morning ...

Certain species won't feed as much during the autumn/winter months, but Perch & Roach certainly do.

in the winter little bait is the way to go.

best fishing in the winter is pike and chub fishing

for carp this time of year is the time to give them some bait .as we have just had the twice yearly big southerly winds

they come in spring and about now .think its the signal to the fish that winters coming and its time to fatten up
