I'm not sure what to advise. The only trouble with burning sulfur is it can give your buds a nasty taste.
but then again, thrips on your buds don't taste too nice either!
Manually remove the adults by gently rubbing the leaves between your fingers and cover the top of the plant pot with white cardboard so it will prevent any eggs from getting to the soil, turning to larvae and completing their life cycle.
To kill them, no-pest strips are good and pyrethirn bug bombs are too. However, only use smoke bombs if you have 3 weeks or more to harvest.
You can get ones that are safer closer to harvest but they are only found at grow shops.

It is true - the bugs taste bitter (so I'm told) under 12/12 so the preds leave off them.
"SB Plant Invigorator" - Works every time. It works by clogginng up the orifices of the mites so that they cannot feed/breathe (forget which). They claim that the spidermite cannot become tolerant, because of this modus operandi.
Whatever, I know I would not be without it in my grow, just in case. I found that three applications halted a small infestation in its tracks and killed them all off. 100%.
I'm pretty sure this will work with thrips too and apparently is safe to use throughout flowering.
