BULLET
I've got a few sacks of Westons Multi with added JI in the garage that are about 18months old.
Is it too old to use now?

Aye

Why? I'd use it - and hasn't oldtimer been re-using compost four times in an experiment with positive results? (see front page).

You might have to start feeding a bit sooner but compost is compost as far as I can see.

Heya Bodhisattva , Oldtimer used soil conditioners , fungis , bacto etc to keep the soil life thriving so when he repots or uses the compost its alive and full of goodness , i personally added a bit of kelp also to my mix , but thats gonna be down to the original compost makeup i would guess .

He didn't ask about "re-using."

No he didn't, but reused compost is quite likely to be "old" as well as lacking in nutrients?

It's a worser case scenario?
