I would be interested to know if "lucalox" was a reliable and/or suitable make of hps, whether anyone has used them. The one I'm looking at buying is 250 WATT HPS Ge lucalox, High Pressure Sodium Bulb, HID. Just concerned if I'd be getting the right light spectrum for flowering, any feedback appreciated, thanks.

Hay dude. From what I have learned you need to concentrate on the Lumens that your light will emit. This will depend as much if not more on the design of the light and the hood used. Check with GE and don't go with anything less than 45000 if possible. You'll still be able to grow with less than 45000, but if you want to make the most from your hard work and the electric used, then this seems to be the magic number. I'm no expert in growing (yet), but I've done quite a lot of reading in preparation for my first grow.

I'm sure that if anyone with grow knowledge reads this and disagrees with my comments that you'll read about it here.

that ligth will be suitable, i have a 600watt version which is similar.
