my last grow was a sativa so for my next im thinking i need something at the other end of the scale , i want couch lock trippy ''ive just forgotten what i was saying'' kind of weed.
and i want to scrog it , so i want a plant that can return a decent crop (i only like to grow a crop every couple of years or so).
so , any recommendations?
bobbert
dont mind really about cost , providing they are worth it.
feminized seeds would obviousley be an advantage.

Euforia from Dutch Passion is a mostly Sativa hybrid, not indica.

Im sorry but i was told otherwise by a very good succesful grower, Do quote me if im (he) is wrong but i would like to see written proof on this as i cant seem to find any online saying its indica/sativa strain......... unsure.gif

Check out durga mata from paradise seeds. Just started some myself wink.gif

Pot of Gold by Flying Dutchman is a poky couchlocky indica dominant - good yeilder. Lovely taste despite the crappy name with it's commercial connotations. The same thing's sold by Seedsman as 'Hindu Kush Skunk' (it's a cross of Hindu Kush and Skunk rofl.gif ) Did that last time thumbsup.gif nice smoke

Anesthesia by whazzup is still available I think - growing it now and so far so good. Pretty sure I've seen something in whazzup's diary about scrogs

I'm also doing Master Kush by DP.I know it's a lovely potent smoke but for some reason mine're very un kush like in their stretchiness

my 2p stoned.gif all the best with your choice and your grow

Surely if you are looking for a high yielding indica that will put you on yor ass there is only one possible solution....

the one and only Sensi Star.....

Renowned, respected and generally awsome, won tons of prizes and never had a bad word said about it. Look no further.

im growing out some white russians now but they arent in flower yet so im anxious to see, but i would probably agree with semtex about the sensi star. Absolute knock out smoke and such a dense top heavy plant..

I agree, just rolled first spliff from one i recently chopped , had 3 puffs and had to put it down or id have no hope of writing this.. i always top mine and then pull about 3-4 oz dried after 7 weeks n 4 days flower 6 weeks veg from rooted clone. A weed you can smoke without a cure but really does improve after at least a month in a jar. Best taken when a mixture of amber and cloudy shows in the trichs, The high you get when they are clear is intense and to my tastes quite unpleasant and causes anxiety, where as when it is ripe its like the hit you get from mazari hash nice warm body stone and clear but heavy head stone ..very tasty weed you can taste the old sensi northern lights in it, which for me is kinda sweet aniseedy/spicy and reminiscent of the old sensi seeds nl haze from the 90s ,but im really no good at explaining tastes n smells...

ok ive drifted off staring at this enough now. hope it makes sense.. if not then theres even more indication to the potency of BD...
and one last thing if you dont like the price of the sensi one then do what i did and go for the sweet seed SAD which is a femmed sensi BD from a particularly potent pheno ..
good luck in your search.

have to say , Violator Kush is looking very nice at the moment.

im thinking though , perhaps i should grow 2 strains , just for some variety.
apart from timing , would i encounter any other problems growing two strains in the same grow room?
i suppose height and general size could cause a problem, any recomendations for a strain to accompany Violator Kush?
KC
Sorry don't know anything about violator Kush but don't be put off by running two different strains at one time. I wouldn't dream of it myself, just two strains .......no way. Four or five is more like it biggrin.gif

i had a feeling someone was going to say that.
see , 4 strains is 4 mother plants , i dont think ive got room for 4 mothers.
i am certainly going to try and fit em in though. might have to re-think my grow space.

would a 2x1 meter grow space be big enough for 16-20 plants?

Jesus! You say you can't keep 4 mothers? I'd use a bit of that space for em mate, 2X1 meters is huge guitar.gif

But yes 16 could be done easily enough in that space. I like about 10 or 12 in my 1.2*1.2m or you can just veg a bit longer and use less plants, so many ways to grow smile.gif

Altough a lot of people suggest keeping mothers from seed you could always try this...

Grow from seed, pinch out asap so you get some side shoots.

As soon as you get side shoots, take a cutting and root it.

Then flower the seed plant. By the time it has finished your cuttings should not be too large. If they fail to root and you like the flowered plant, you could alays reveg it.

The Narnia Nursery is precisely 2 x 1.
Feet, that is.
In there I can have 3 - 4 mothers, a tray of 8 clones (and/or seeds germinating/seedlings), and a tray of either 6 rooting clones awaiting repot, or 3 - 4 freshly repotted vegging plants.
You must be in a veritably tiny grow. I'm intrigued to know how small it is. unsure.gif

its a normal sized single spare room but my gorw area is 2m x1m x2m high. i will be using 2 600 watt hps. i suppose i could set up a grow drobe or tent along side the flowering area.

Go for it M8, as you can see it doesn't have to chew into your flowering space that much. I used to "occupy" the spare room, but now I like to keep things small. I don't know why, but it just works so much better for me. My yields per sq ft are way up, and I have (comparatively speaking) almost no probs with pests or other stuff - just the odd fungal attack. Maybe its because I can keep a better eye on the plants, I don't know. Anyhoo, a small nursery is very easy to set up. Christ I'm mashed, what the fuck are we on about? I've forgotten completely!

Oh yeah, "couch lock Indicas". I had a Mazar pheno that was overwelming, but I've smoked other pheno's and been disappointed so I dunno about Mazar really unsure.gif
A mate came round one day with some very chunky looking purple budded "Kush". We smoked a J over breakfast at his place one day. And came round just in time for tea. Which was nice smile.gif
Phew, heavy duty stoning it is then!

cheers guys.

ive narrowed it down a bit to ,
violator kush feminised 'barneys farm' ,
mazari fem 'seedsman' ,
cheese 'big buddah' ,
afgan kush fem ''world of seeds'.
,

4 strains , i can only afford to buy two.
any thoughts on these strains guys?

violator kush looks good , mazari looks like a high yeilding plant and its not so expencive , cheese , ive heard lots of peeps ranting about cheese but ive never smoked any (i dont know any dealers or growers so apart from what ive smoked in the dam 8 years ago my knowledge of verieties is very limited) and afgan kush , looks like another good yeilding plant.

is cheese really as smelly as peeps say it is?
and , whats a ''kush''?
SmokyJ
hello bobbert i recently went to amsterdam and smoked the cheese at a coffee shop called homegrown fantaseeds highly recommend looking at their seeds. It tasted and smelt like sweets was amazing. Was the only coffee shop i went back to more than once just to get the cheese, i also tried the blue cheese from barneys was nice but the cheese had more of the sweet taste which i prefer.

i would go with
violator kush feminized from barneys farm, as it is a Malana/Hindu Kush hybrid
afgan kush fem from world of seeds as its a landrace kush and will be ver interesting to compare hybrid/landrace from the same region

the real cheese is stinky, but you wont get the real cheese as its cut only....not available in seeds....you will just get the BB or GHS Cheese, both the same plant but not as nice as the real cut only cheese.

Kush = The Hindu Kush is a mountain range located between Afghanistan and Pakistan.and is where you find alot of very fine indicas......you will see some names pup up alot like Mazari as on Mazar-i-Sharif the fourth largest city in the north of Afghanistan close to the Hindu Kush

cool , thank you. my next holiday destination then. :0) I've always been interested in growing none crossed varieties so yes , it would be interesting to grow both side by side. are barneys farm and world of seeds both reputable seed outlets?

cheese does sound good but I'm a bit concerned about the smell.
my neighbours don't seem the type to let a strong smell of weed go unnoticed.

very interesting reading ,my hats off to them.
i think those strains might be more suited to an out door grow? ive been thinking about an out door grow for ages now , so , i may just give them a go.
