Apparantly some folk have kept them over 6 weeks but it is only what ive read

Ive never tried it myself but ought to

It would be good if anyone would give it a go and post pics and updates to see if it does work

There are a few ways to do it, but nothing set in stone as different folk have done it different ways

My fridge isnt stealthy enough or i would try it myself

What would stop them going the way of a lettuce left in the vegtable drawer too long? i.e floppy and unusable? Are you supposed to seal them or treat them or keep them moist or something?

I'll do it for the sake of it but as Nausicca how do you got about it?

Do you bang them in a zip bag or something, or leave them in water? unsure.gif

And if the fridge is dark all or most the time wont they try n flower? unsure.gif

I can tell ya i had i think 4or 6 AK clones that had been put in riot cubes to root and ended up staying in them for aprox 4 to 5 weeks before i gave them on to a real good mate.. wink.gif

Apparently cos as ive said I have no experience on this as I keep bonsai mums, all you do is take the cut but with the stem about an inch longer than normal and pace in a zippy bag (you recut the clone when ready for rooting them)

Breath into it so it gives a bit of cushioning seal it and place in the salad box, replenish the air once a week

Thats how some say they do it

Others have just took cuts, placed them in a vase, in about an inch of water, and placed them in the fridge

Some have placed in sealed baggies but with a bit of water in the bag to submerge the bottom of the stem

Also folk have dipped in clonex wrapped the new cut in damp kitchen roll, then bagged

I have put cuts in baggies, wrapped the stem after dipping in clonex, and then they were kept in the dark for 4 days, not fridged

They all rooted afterwards

I think i'll give this a go as well, take a few clones before i bang my Warlocks into 12/12, and keep them in the fridge till they need to be vegged up, nowt to lose.

tried it once a while ago

they were only fridge for about 10 days though

cuts were good but can take up to 2weeks to root

not ideal but it works

I can keep cuttings that have been rooted in the dark for a few weeks, not even in the fridge. I got a few boxes full that i need to build veg boxes for to do some experiments lol.gif
Issue is more do you keep them in a clean enviroment.

Peace
