Niger seeds are not normally used for the nutritional value, more as something to help break up colours and to make a bait look that little bit different!
Add a few grams to boilie mix and it does break up a flat texture and make the bait look a bit more interesting......
Would definatley soak them over night or otherwise they will probably float as soon as the stick mix breaks up but no need to boil them.
The mix you have found probably has them purely for comestic reasons as there are a lot of ingredients that could be used instead that would have far better pulling power for Mr fish......

i get them in my seed......i get wilkinsons canary seed £1.19 for a kilo......
then just put it in a bucket with some boiling water and leave it covered for 24 hours
after 24 hours it should be soft and plump if its not then top up with fresh hot water and leave for another 4-8 hours
