Hey all,

pictures of the girls will follow in the next post! wink.gif

The 2 plants i have, were 2 feminised seeds from Dutch Passion, and they are as the topic tells you the infamous BLUEBERRY!

I germinated them late april and since then have been in a greenhouse, which unfortuneately was put in the wrong spot of my garden, there is a big bush to the 11 o clock angle if you get me, which blocks it getting sun until 12:30 or so, but when the weather is good i pull em out to the back where they get sun all day!

Now, the 2. I have let one grow completely naturally interms of pulling off lowers, training, topping any of that. The other i have done all of the above to.

The one i have done training to has quite spikey thin fan leaves, which could indicate a more sativa pheno of blueberry? Correct me if i am wrong, im new to leaning alol that pheno mumbo jumbo. She is in i think a 22 litre pot or around that size.

The one i let go naturally has the opposite, quite big, but wide leaves with some leaves even having 9 fans (leaf sections). She is in an 15 litre pot.

They are both sitting in Batmix and since a rather early age been fed biobizz grow/bloom and now as of recent Canna Boost stimulator. Im not really that accurate when it comes to fertilisers, i use a large watering can and i just pour 2 caps in or so and they share the lot. They dont seem to complain at all.

They started flowering around late mid august, but the past week they have really started. So, the weather forecast is pure sun for the next 5 days so that'll do em some good! You guys think they will make it in time, and hopefully pull a decent harvest?

Thanks for reading!! spliff.gif

openthebox
ill tell you now mate, they do smell of a thing of beauty! They went into flower about 2 or 3 weeks ago mate, but for at least a good 6- days it was just small preflowers, but now the trained one has got her arse into gear! Anyone got any rough estimates of how much the girls could give me would be really appreciated!

ill bring updates in a few days time or when theres a nice difference!

Hi openthebox, they look like a couple of really healthy plants, good luck with the rest of the grow.

cheers for the comment dude, just gonna go pop over onto your thread, had a quick browse the other day and im intreuged!
openthebox
few more pictures to show you all!

how long down the flowering line do you think they are?

Also, i get the feeling they might have purple genetics (DP say it can do) but im not sure if its the cold. Outside at night is around 8c -11c.

But also on the stems of the plant, the top side is purple?

thanks spliff.gif
Metal Halide
Looking good dude. I reckon they look somewhere between 2 and 3 weeks into flower.

I'm growing this strain indoors so it will be interesting to see if mine have the same purple traits as yours. Hope they do tbh wink1.gif
Tree Man
they look great mate... that purple hue to the small flower is just beautiful.... lucky git rofl.gif

not sure how much you will yield .... LOADS off that trained one...!! it's huge!
maybe you could tie, or bend down, a few more main branches to open her up to the light more, and also to really add yield.

lovely just lovely..!

I know what you mean about the smell too.. mine are just starting to pong.. (sativa pheno)
its almost like sweeties... divine!
goodluck with it man!
openthebox
trust me tree man i really would like to, but ill post a picture up later, where i had to operate on her, i was training her a bit too hard and she couldnt handle it at one stage when i pulled them apart and split a few inches down the middle. I wrapped it in cling film with string around it to hold it together, and poured a small amount of natural honey on the wound! But yes i am slowly trying to open her up again.

if she's only week 3 into flower, man is it gonna be cutting it close into mid october.. wow i hope they make it sad.gif

3 weeks was only a guess dude - I've not grown this strain (before now) or grown outside, so it could easily be later. Most of the strains I've grown before don't really start putting weight on until week 4, but maybe this one is different smile.gif

They look good though, so even if they are only 3 weeks in, reckon you'll be ok unless it pisses down for the next few weeks smile.gif
Indica
mmmmm lush green and healthy well done wink.gif
jiffa
some big girls in here just how i like them , keep it up mate
openthebox
Alright its been 2 or more weeks or so since i last posted some pictures! They are coming on nicely, stinking so god damn much, im thinking she's in early week 6 or so.

woahdang
ooh nice whats the estimated finish date on those? i am intersted to know chop times for south uk early strains, i am.
openthebox
Right, now as i stated above i have 2 plants.

They both have had the same nutrients, the same amounts of nutrients, epsom salts, molasses but im unsure as to what this problem could be.

Looks like some sort of defficiency to me, but is it worth sorting out now? Im skint and want to know whether she will pull through to the end ok, is she just stressed.

Please someone put my heart at rest.

Below is a picture of 2 similiar sized leaves from the same region of both plants.

The one on the left is the one which looks like some deffiency, the other looks fine.

Answer to your question woahdang, probably around another 2 or 3 weeks.

Hope the weather can pull us through unsure.gif

THANKYOUUU

corse the wether will pull us through otherwize its gonna a be a dissapointing boxing day blaze santa.gif
speak soon peace
openthebox
fuuuucking hell. Sure its nearly a year ago we had that zoot. I think a repeat reunion is needed.

To be honest mate, with feeding her all the nutes + stim + epsom salt i cant really tell what is doing what! spliff.gif

Is that shit organic?
Metal Halide
That's a couple of fine looking plants you have there dude. Hope the 3 I've got going turn out half as well. smile.gif Loving the purple/blue hue, and I hope that's not just an outdoor/greenhouse trait.

It's an 8-10 weeker ain't it, so you should be done by the end of the month. I wouldn't worry about some slight yellowing at this stage, especially if it's only lower fan leaves.

Good luck with the last week or 3, and thanks for the pics smile.gif
openthebox
its not just the lower fan leaves sad.gif The majority of her is turning that colour.

thanks MH cool.gif
Metal Halide
Reckon it'll be ok dude. Bit late in flower to be throwing feed in now, you might end up doing more harm than good.
openthebox
alright thanks for the advice man russian.gif
openthebox
new one from today spliff.gif
Metal Halide
Nice!! smile.gif thumbsup.gif thumbsupsmileyanim.gif applause.gif
Indica
coming along nicely dude wish i could say the same on my end found bout 10+ bits of bud rot on bud n leaves today crybaby.gif cut them all off n gonna find a spray for 2moro. decided too buy that ripen nutrients but only fed the 1 in the Glass house.
openthebox
those sprays are alright indica when the weather is dry, but when its wet and humid it adds to the problem!!

think about it, when its cold and wet any kind of liquid and dampness is going to promote mold. It says after you spray it, it needs nice and dry weather sad.gif

Ive been relatively lucky so far with the rot *touch wood*, only about what would of been an 8th or so gone.

I think they have another 3 weeks left or so. I hope.
Indica
ye taken that into account but thnks for the heds up w00t.gif

http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/ukweather/ looks like its gonna be a dry weekend so gonna take ma chances
openthebox
good man.

Anyone got any estimates as to how long they have left?

Like do you think i should be thinking about starting to flush soon?

cheerio guitar.gif
dabeef
looking nice mate , im in south east aswell and been a shitty summer but i got some frecking massive fat buds ! im leaving them out as long as possible and hoping for the best.
Should the weather go poo over the next week i might reconsider and i think i should still be more than happy with the results ! ! !
openthebox
defonately but its pretty sound, i mean i can bring them into the garage at night to keep em warm, when its sunny they outside and when its raining they in the greenhouse wink1.gif.

Just want the optimum out of these, put in alot of effort so im hoping to pull about 5oz or so. Gonna be a lovely few days in the next 2 or 3 weeks.
Metal Halide
Yeah, they should put a bit more weight on in the last few weeks dude, so you'll be ok for smoke for a while smile.gif

You shouldn't need to flush if you're feeding them with biobizz, although I always give them just water the last time I water them when using biobizz - each to their own I suppose...

My Bluberrys are a few days into flower and I notice that one of them looks slightly mutated - its fan leaves are very long and dangly. It's drinking plenty though and I always take that as a good sign smile.gif

Hope mine turn out as well as yours have, and I hope they get the same bluey/purple hue too. smile.gif

Good luck with the weather over the last week or 3 smile.gif
openthebox
yer dont worry halide the leaves are nothing to worry about, during veg and early flowering, area's of my plant were mutated little bastards but she pulled through! Ive heard alot of people talk about DP BB's deformalities.
openthebox
New update!

Alot of the leaves are turning purple (full blown, not just a little) when they havent been subjected to much cold (warm days and at nights i drag them inside). And the leaves which arent turning purple are like a picture below shows.

MAN THIS GIRL IS LOOKING SWEEEET. I am certainly loving the blueberry, and i cant wait till i can smoke it, but everyday feels so long just looking at her when i cant touch her! sad.gif

anyways, PICTURES! thumbdown.gif

Any comments or advice welcome!

Cheers smoke.gif
openthebox
one more!
weedmonsta
im also in the southeast......they look at about the same stage as mine.....id say about 3 weeks to go

nice plants dude
mrweed
Wow, they look really nice!!! I'm planning on a greenhouse grow next year and if my plants turn out anything like yours I'll be well chuffed!!! Look forward to see what sort of yield you get off them and a smoke report... Hope all goes well for the last few weeks thumbsupsmileyanim.gif
openthebox
well they will certainly be coming down before the first frost, but lets hope that isnt until the 10th of november or so.
Smokey
Looking good otb

Lovely coloring on the buds biggrin.gif
Metal Halide
Looking good dude, hope mine turn out half as well smile.gif I haven't grown a 'purple' strain before, so looking forward to when mine start to change - only a week in, so a while to go yet...

You were a little concerned about some slight yellowing a week or 2 ago, so was it then when they started to turn blue? I assume you haven't fed them any more since then?

Cheers for the updates man, be interesting to see the difference between your greenhouse and my indoor grow. Apart from yours being considerably cheaper, of course smile.gif
openthebox
ive still been feeding them both the same ferts, the plant that hasnt turned purple at all still is that yellowy colour, and then the other one like in the pics is fine.
Metal Halide
Maybe just different phenos then, one being more hungry than the other... The 3 I have going are all quite different, so it mustn't be a very uniform strain. mellow.gif
smeagol
lovely colors mate .. good luck .. yinyang.gif
withnail
Some beautiful looking buds there fella, nice work thumbsup.gif

I reckon you could chop them in a fortnight, I know folks who have chopped outdoor buds at the same stage yours are now.Good luck with the last leg of the grow , it will be worth the wait in the end smoke.gif
openthebox
cheers dudes, will bring some more pics in a few days! wink1.gif
openthebox
have been cutting them down today. Looks good! Will post some flicks later.
Hai

:a small DJ Short blueberry of my friend, under 150w hps..

Good Week !
wink.gif
openthebox
been drying on a rack for 3 days now! In the loft its a bit chilly gets around to about 12c i think. Got a small oscillating fan going up moving the air around. Smoke is suprisingly smooth seeing as they are a bit fresh still lol.gif!

So, to dry for about another week i think, and then in jars for 2 or 3 weeks. I cant really hold any longer than that haha.

The high is very mellow but also quite heavy if you can manage to understand that, bit of the creeper effect spliff.gif

I hope it will all develop in time!, starting to smell nice again aswell instead of fresh grass.

pictures to follow!

Whats shown in the pics is about a 1/3 of the green ive pulled from the plants.

Was tihnking, when curing this, could i cure a seperate jar with some vanilla pods in them? Just like you would orange peel? What you think it would be like?
enjoy!
openthebox
will get a few more shots up later in week before it goes into jars!

ill get some closeups! camera phone aint really all that!

comments, criticisms or whatever would be cool!

thanks cool.gif
