I ve just started a grow in a grow box i was hoping to use threw out the grow, The box is 400mm deep, 700mm wide, and 1000mm tall.

But if you think about it i ve actually only got about 800mm 850mm tops, (1000mm - mm depth of light/reflector) was going to do three plants but after realising my limits i ve decided only on two, there suppost to be femminised seeds but can't be to carefull so gotta watch out during flowering,

I am using California special seeds, about 1.3m indoor growth, I think . Whats my best option: early flowering? top them? or LST?

What light you using?

You might be able to get away with it with come cfl's or enviros and flowering really small.

I am using a 120w homemade thing is 6 CFL energy saving light bulbs, wired together. i asked about and people say this is a good way to veg, almost like using fluro? (not sure :erm:) It's early days yet like to see if there any good,

As for flowering small hows that going to effect my yield??

Your Yeild will be shite anyway tbh mate, if its the only space you have go for it and see how it works out, if theres a possibility of growing elsewhere id reconsider.

I am going to continue as i am like you say to see what happens.

1 may even end up outside just so the other one has space to grow, but after this grow i am going to try and convince the GF to let me convert one of the built in cupboard i've got. But it's up to her. there's a few options i am thinking about, may try to get a shed and run power to it and use that but again it's hard to do it's ££££ you need, and i just don't got it!

Hiya GA,
It is not worth flowering your plants with CFL's, you need a HPS light for flowering and preferably a bigger growing area. It's to late to put them out side if they have only just sprouted, I think it will be to cold before they can finish flowering, even if they were lowryders.

looks like all the prep work i did just seems to have flown out the window ! i know the deal that CFL don't have the power to make the buds tight! but again its ££££ for HPS and my GF was a bit anyway with me growing as she's a worry wart any way but i am going to see this grow through and maybe keep the box for veg, and conver the shed into a flower cupboard! but i am not sure! any way cheers for the info i'll have to hit the drawing board (to vent some anger) then re think my next grow!

I've just read that thread that is my best option!! i understand he didn't get that much from his first gow (2/3 of Oz 1st grow) but i could use the box i ve got to keep a mother? (opinions on that? like could i veg in it?) and then try blab's method of bonsai!? i ve got wood today from work (perks of the job) so i could build a box to match his efforts, i've got bulbs but would need more to keep both boxes going. do you think this is doable, for a low-budget grower that has no experience? But a keen ambition to learn!
