hi board,waiting for my new kif box to arrive can't wait! my question is pressing the kif,i was gonna put it in my sneaker inside cellaphane and walk around for a day i heard that works good,any input. also i might have alot coming soon so i need another method,pressing it with a glass bottle filled with hot water how much pressure would i need to use and is this a good method say compared to a iron? thanks any input would help

oh yeah,with the kif box mine dosen't have a lid so it's not shakable how do i get good kif,just rub buds or trim on the screen?

as far as i remember from my physics lessons, you can't compress a liquid. so i don't think this would work. The in-shoe method is meant to be good, but you might squeeze it out of the cellophane and into the sole of your shoe... or not. the space case people make a kiff press, its meant to be pretty good. if you want to DIY it, well i'm not sure how you'd got about it [ie what to put the kiff into] but i should think a vice would be a good think to squeeze it in, you could probably compress it better in a vice that anything else...

another way is to put the scuff into a plastic bag
put this bag inside another plastic bag.
sink the two bags in boiling water for 5-10 minutes
remembering to keep the neck of the outer bag
above the water level.
i use £1.00 coins as ballast to sink the lot.
after you remove the inner bag roll it hard with a
bottle.....viola....
a 10 ton bottle jack press also works.

In turkey, I used to get the powder, (not kif, better that that) and wrap it in gelatine-style plastic, like the outside of a fag packet, in a neat parcel.

Then wrap it in three alternate wet and dry 'bandages' made of newspaper (2 ins wide, newspapers. (Wet first/then dry/then wet).

Next, wrap the little parcel in tin foil, and prick it with a pin all the way through, three times.

Now pop it in the frying pan/over a candle/attached to the exhaust pipe of a revving motorbike (that last for lunatics only) and heat it. Then after one heat, put it on the floor and stand on it with all your might. I used to use a stone to get a stilletto effect.

Back on the heat source for a bit longer, depends which method. On pan, maybe a minute. Next, remove the tinfoil. Stamp again. Heat again. Remove another layer. Stamp.


Repeat til you're next to the plastic wrapped powder, which sgold now be a nice block of top-quality hash, or a nicely droopy black hash.

I've got the Space Case Pollenator (and the Space Case crystal catcher which is superb and well worth the money - it's truly the rolls royce of bud grinders - it passively collects the trychomes as it grinds the bud up) and it is good for pressing the pollen into a hard block but it does not turn it into hash - because there is no heat applied. The pressed pollen is an incredibly good smoke though - I actually prefer it to proper hash. It's taste varies depeninding on the bud it comes from but it generally tastes uncredibly smooth and sweet - and it'll knock your socks off!
