Will get photo's up tomorrow.
Questoin for the moment though is this:
Is it normal to have all milky trichs but no brown pistils? I know judging by the trichs is the safest bet, but I thought usually the pistils were about 60-75% brown too when all the trichs are milky?
Its weird, the lower buds have about 50/50 brown pistils and all milky trichs but the top buds have 0% brown pistils and all milky trichs. Even a few amber trichs. I thought the top buds were normally meant to mature first. Maybe my plants are broken

Any idea? Perhaps the pistils turn amber when the trichs do?

Well its widow. Unknown breeder as it was a clone. My mate has had the widow for a good couple of years and always done in 9 weeks. Mine have been going over 9 weeks easily. Coming up to the tenth. Dont have close up pics of trichs so wasn't sure if there was a point posting pics. Only photo's I have are off my phone. Ill upload them anyway.
Mainly I was confused because I thought when all the trichs were milky the pistils were meant to have atleast started to go brown?

widow is a white strain so you will find more white pistil's
but once its cut you may find the pistils will brown off a bit
you are best off using a loupe to check the trich's at near on ten weeks......
could be worth chopping...again that depends on how you like your smoke

Ah that makes sense actually. In that case on sunday I think ill bring them down. All the trichs are milky with some even going amber. Was just a bit weirded out that the pistils hadn't gone brown but the trichs looked ready.
Woohoo, cant wait for the chop day =)
Cheers for the replis

Here's a pic of the trichs but really bad quality. Only a cheap scope and trying to use a camera phone with it is absolubtle missions

I read the sticky at the top of the page and it says harvest when most of the trichs are milky. Does this mean most are milky and others are clear. Or most are milky and others are amber? Give it a year and i'll be laughing I ever asked this question I bet. Will all be so easy once I know what im doing

i dotn know anything about what your asking but i would recommend cutting of a small bud and testin it if it gets you stoned the cured bud will obviously be allot better... if it normally takes nine and your on ten it should be fine to cut. i read some strains dont turn theyre trichomes amber but still are ready so i expect some strains dont brown up especially a white strain like widow. some seedbases say the widow is ready at 9weeks but to let it go to ten weeks for extra resins so ur basicly done

I wouldn't wait for most to go amber. Most cloudy, some clear and a few amber is the average. The more amber, the more sedating.

Well all chopped and hung up to dry. Only chopped 2 of the 3 down. Weighed the buds after being trimmed and weighed 390g wet.
Anyone got any ideas what this'll go down to? Im guessing about 3 ounces or 3.5 ounces? Might be wrong though.
Cant wait to get smoking these. Roll on 2 weeks time =)

What a difference 28 days makes.....instant guru just add 28 days of 420 and stir

I know what you mean annaconda, i've only been here a few months but already feel like I could advise about a good number of problems growing related.
Like what you just said then, a month ago you had no idea about harvesting. Now you've done it it all seems sooo easy.
