hi im looking at my first grow 1mx2m and have now figured the fans n lights i want , so next step for me, what to put my roots in
i want something low maintenance and acces to the back reaches of the room is going to be hard, ( hence lightmover). so reliable also,
prefably a setup where all i need to i can do from the resevior that will be outside the room, im new to hydro so ease me in , or i will run back to the soil, thanks all

Hi sstoker,

I'm using an amazon system in a 1mx1mx1.8m tent - fits nicely and has been very easy to use so far. For an external reservoir, though, you might need to look at the IWS Flood and Drain systems, or a homebrew version of that....

Good Luck,

Z.

I would class scrogging as a more advanced technique, I was meaning for him to plonk one plant per pot in an 4/8 or even 16 pot system with clay pebs and chuck 400 watts over the top in a tent with a 6 inch extraction fan and 4 inch intake fan hooked up to a carbon filter.
Don't get much easier than that.

i wasnt planning scrog , ive settled on 2x600w grostar, in 2mx1m floorspace. 2x 8" rvk or similar
i still reading ! thanks all

Dwc buckets = quite simple as well. If your Macgyver skills are fair, building a home made flood and drain can be a good one to look into. not the most simple at first, but once running, it's cakework.

afaik soil involves transplanting. Yes it's doable but do you want to?

I'm now using passive hydro after years of bubblers, it's way too easy. The nute mix has to be right of course but that's true of any system. Mix nutes as needed, feed every day. If you need to be out, well they can go without for a day or two, no problems.

For the plants at the back I used a piece of guttering. Rest the far end on the pot and pour in the feed.

autopot probley simplest it waters itself. no real nute changes either
