hey every1. how do u know whether you have underwatered or overwaterd your plants? asfar as i can tell the symptoms are identical. a drooping to the leaves and yellowing moving from the outside of the leaf inward. any clarification would be greatly appreciated thanx!

plants are about 3 weeks old the spoetnik#1 from paradise seeds have heard these are slow growers and are still quite small. the pots arnt that big.
thats what i thought aswell but the problem was my soil had very good drainage i would water and within 2hours the soil would be dry again so id endup watering in little amouts quite often through the day so its hard to tell if i watered abit too much or not enough.

The stuff that almost killed my plants was Westlands West+ Peat Free Organic had too much bark. Was very acidic and drained 2 quickly and my ladies didnt like it at all.

Water as and when your plants need it. They require a flood and drain approach, that is to say you need to water them until you see run off at the bottom of the pots. Leave for half an hour. If run off has been re-absorbed, water again until run off appears once more. Once run off stays in the tray for half an hour without being re-absorbed, chuck it out. Then leave your plants until they feel "light" when picked up. This will probably be after 3 or 4 days, depending upon pot size and the plant's natural thirst.

thanx!!!
one last question i have a small setup at the moment due to a lack of space so only gt 3 fem spoetniks was wadering if a carbon filter would be advisable as some have started to smell quite nice already

Sep 7 2008, 02:16 AM
from what i read it can increase/speed up growth 2 x 4 x and same with yieald if not more but you also have to look after vetilation n temps ! , to say it isn't easy is spot on . read up on fimming and trimming so you can stop them growing to big if your room is small or you will end up with big plants like mine ! . When you put them on flowering they will grow 2x there size before you get your crop n then it can take 4 weeks to dry then out b4 you can smoke it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes you will, they stink a lot more than you think esp near the end of flower,
i wouldn't even consider doing a grow without proper ventilation and a cf, get your ventilation and enviroment right first, then most of your problems will be sorted.
