Hi all.
Just got myself a new setup.

4 pot Wilma system
600watt hps lamp
600watt mh lamp
Rockwool cubes
clay pebbles
nutes and all the other stuff most people would use


Ill be growing from seed in rootriot cubes. Then into rockwool cubes and into clay pebbles.

Then ill veg for 2-3 week before flowering.

But as ive never used a hydro system before i was wondering how often to feed in both the veg and bloom stages.

Also how often should I flush with ph adjusted water to stop the clay pebbles from building up to many salts.

15 mins every 4 hours works OK for me, as the grow moves along you will be able to read your plants and adjust your regime to their needs.

Do you feed during the night cycle the same as you do during the light cycle or is it different.Also would i have to change my feeding regime when I put my plants into flower?

Would it be a good idea to put an air stone in my nute tank. How much defference would an air stone make on yeald and quality?.

How important is it to check the EC when using a hydro system. As I,ve always grown in just soil and pots before and have never checked the EC in any of my grows?.

Im going for three fifteen minutes during the light and Im thinking about one fifteen minute session in the middle of the night but I don't 100% know yet so Ill be interested in seeing the reply.

definitely put an airstone in your resit will increase yield and it keeps your nutrient solution airated and keeps the nutes mixed

ive done a few grows in a wilma 4, always in coco,

my feeding regime was two 15 min feeds, first feed an hour or two after lights on and second feed 2 hours before lights off. i never fed through lights off but i think its different in pebbles
obviously all plants drink at different rates its just a case of tinkering for a few days to get it right, feel the weight of the pots wen just fed an see how long it takes till they run dryish, they'll feel much lighter

if your growing in pebbles, ec/ph is more important as you have no soil/coco to buffer the ec/ph.
im currently growing in coco an i don't really bother with ph an ec, although I'll check them occasionally i rarely alter them and my plants look great

Acen your more than welcome to stay in contact. But i wont be starting my grow for a little while yet as im having some problems with keeping my grow location secure and out of sight of nosey neighbours. Would grow in the house but my other half wont have it.
