Barneys red diesel is a relative of Soma's NYCD yes, but they are only diesel in name, they have a grapefruit type smell and taste.
Rezdog/Greenhouse/chemdog type diesels are different, they have a fuel/chemical smell and taste, sound yuk but once smoked is unique and gorgeous, the high is more intense as well.
see the history in the other thread.

Diesel is the in smoke ATM, everyone wants it, so everyone and their dog is naming their strains something with diesel in the name.
The original diesel #1 is actually called underdawg/daywrecker diesel.
Sour diesel ( or ECSD) was an accidental hermie pollination and is clone only although Rez is offering a good IBL approximation.
Once you smoke it you will never forget the taste.

derry buys all his weed in from his own little army of growers, so they probably breed the seeds too....

so, who makes the best DIESEL?
Soma with NYCD or Rez (alpha diesel)?
Peace
Oct 30 2008, 12:55 PM
cheers wasabi.
So if understand correctly, Alpha Diesel is -pretty much- the original diesel (fuel smelling, taste, potency) and DSD is Diesel x Strawberry Cough.
Does Rez make the DSD?

fem seeds.
I'd never tried it, or any "diesel" strains as its been a few years since i was in Holland, so not sure how it "should" be.
Couldn't say whether or not mine tasted exactly like grapefruit, but it was a
strong fruity taste and smell. Just got used to the stone very quickly.

I finished a red diesel grow about a month ago and overall a very dissapionting plant to grow and smoke, they are vigorous in veg but take about three weeks after first pistils start showing to actually start putting heads on the two phenos I got both had very little to no crystal formation up until 8weeks and then develope a little bit of THC on the outside cut them down at ten weeks and they could of gone longer, honestly if your looking for a good diesel plant choose something else,

I've popped one of my seeds in for fun will throw it in with the next crop and see how it turns out... giving a full report. I really liked the stuff from the coffeeshops and with some skill i'm sure it will be super amazing.
