Well chaps this has got to be my biggest project todate and my last thats for def .Well the plan is to build a 5ft wide x 8ft long x 6ft deep underground grow room and this is going to take a lot of work the reason been at the back of my garage is a decent size hill an wen we get some bad rain it runs down the hill an soaks into the ground so my hole will fill with water so to avoid this im going to have to dig a land drain about 1m deep the full width of my garden to carry the water away from my hole also il have to put aco drains along the front the side and the back to stop the rain that runs down the walls of the garage

THE PLAN IN DETAIL



Right this is how im going to do the room .Im going to dig the hole 6ft wide 9ft long 7ft deep it will be strutted up with scaffolding battons and acro props while im im digging it out to prevent it caving in on me once iv got the hole dug il put in a box thats already to be put up this box is made from 1.5in thick shutter ply strutted inside with 4x4in posts an completely coverd in ruberoid membrane this will stop any damp or water getting to the ply .
the box will sit on a 6in packer under each corner an with a bit of manhanding there will be a 6in void all around my box aswell as under it and above it in these voids will go some 15mm sheets of steel mesh and over the top i must state now my box has a 2ftx2ft hole in the top an this is so i can put 15 3x2 paving flags inside once inside ill cover the hole completely sealing the box up this will prevent the box floating wen i concrete it the concrete will come to the original floor level so there will be no sign of anything at all untill the next day wen ill cut out a 2x2ft hole though the concrete steel an ply so i can drop inside an strip out the srutts an remove the flags an there you go a underground room Click to view attachmentthis was yesterday Click to view attachmentan this is about an hour ago

Leepy man, after all that hard graft, after getting it all sorted and girls in and flowering etc etc etc ... you'll just wish you had made an extra foot or two at least on the headroom, go on, make it 8 foot deep, 12 long and 8 wide:} go on, you know it makes sense.

Watch out for any pipes and bits of WW2 era shiz, had to abandon a similar effort up here a while back due to a freaking massive gas/water pipe.
Don't go hitting anything too hard!

man im sure you will find alot more examples and shit of how exaclty to support the excaavtion on google if you give it a whirl,

plase keep us updated as i would have no idea where to start diging , and then how to carry on you know and turn it into a bunker , some hard work you got coming up.

well guys a quick update for ya iv been at it since 1oclock this aft an its fucking killed me so far iv dug out just over 3ton of muck an how do i no its just over 3ton cos iv filled 3x1ton bags an filled 6 big rubble bags and id say there is still the same to be dug out iv managed to hide a ton of it under my decking the rest of it will have to go in a skip .Il be on the phone 1st thing in the morning to skip hire so it here for wen i get home from work Click to view attachmentClick to view attachmentif you look at the side of the door you can just see a bit of a ton bag theres another one on the other side or there was but its under the decking now

Hey up my man thanks for droping in mucka as for cost mate all its cost me so far is my time mate il get nearly every thing for free from work i reckon it'll cost me about 250 but at least half of that will go to the skip place to get shut of the dirt an fuck me iv got some it's all good fun mucka im one those that like to try every thing if someone ever says to me did you see that underground grow or im building an underground grow i like to be able to say been there done that il try anything once you'v got to dont ya think (leepy)

Well iv just filled another 1ton bag an now im down to bedrock so its going to have be a hydro jackhammer from work to get down the last ft or so.
