im gona use a halibut pellet rubber band to slightly hold the prawn on . i tried it a couple of weeks ago , same swim im gona fish this sat , and had 4 fish arround the 10lb mark . just hopeing the night time will bring bigger fish on . also i was over a bed of sweetcorn that day , but will be over hemp and pellet this night coming

im looking forward to it .......does it show ? lmao

good session i think

we only did the 24 hours in the end , but had 10 fish between me , mrs and my lads

i won !!!! weheeeeeeyyyyyy

6 fish all arround the 15lb mark and 1 @ 19.5lb

my son had a rod and reel pulled in pinch.gif . only my nice greys stalker rod and shimano reel , couldnt tell him off to much though (easy mistake, he forgot the bait runner), hes only just getting into fishing and didnt wana put him off.

the speed the rod flew in was unreal , 3 of us by the rod and none of us could catch it in time !!!

so apart from the loosing of said rod we had a good nights session

now planning next session 13.gif

gona go back to the lake in the week with a rake and rope to see if i can retrieve the rod , i doubt it but worth a try i think

good to hear you had a good session(fish wise) but a downer on losing the rod and reel.
nearly had it happen to me a few times but always managed to grab it.
seems they like prawns on that lake then, and if they dont you can always eat them.
good to hear that the wife and kids are getting into it as well or is it a case of "if you cant beat them join them".
keep up the good work

Nice session mate...shame about the rod though pinch.gif

Reckon you'll be lucky to get the rod back but I guess it's worth a try unsure.gif

Watched a mate lose his rod in the water years ago...he dived in and swam after it as it was still being towed. The fish took it from one of the lake to the other , a good 600 yards or so, and my friend followed it the whole way only for the fish to lose the hook at the far bank where he could have just walked round and picked it up rofl.gif
He wasn't the fittest of blokes either,it nearly killed him but you can imagine how funny we all found it standing on the bank smoke.gif
