Hi,

I've just bought a 200w Enviro-grow light for vegging and it's having a fairly dramatic effect on my electric bill,
but I was wondering what Enviro lights I can use for flowering or combination??

I looked through some of the posts but to much info...

thanks in advance yinyang.gif

What times do you have the light on for vegging (like 24/0, or 18/6) If you have them on 24hrs light, change it to 18hrs light, 6hrs dark.

200W shouldnt have that much of a rise in your electricity bill.

You can use the same light for vegging as you can for flowering. Usually the blue spectrum enviro is used for veg and the right spectrum enviro for flowering, but you can use either throughout the whole grow.

If you can use both throughout the flowering process

You almost certainly will find a 250W HID lamp/ballast better for flowering with. thumbsup.gif

True.

For an extra 50w, you will get a hell of a lot more light than with a 200w enviro.
Infact you'll get more lumens from a 250w HPS than from 2 200w enviro's.

200watt enviro is only around 162watt of power and as for it having a huge effect on your electricity well something ain't right as i used to run 4x200watt enviro's and it cost me around 10 quid per week or so.
