For electricity reasons I will be using 1 1kw light on a linear mover in a 6'x13' room for veg. How much of this room you guys think I could reasonably cover? Im putting either mylar or flat white paint on the walls. For flower I will have 2 1000's on a 12' light mover in a larger room. How much can I cover with these? Any help is appreciated.

About 30% extra, any more and the buds tend to be a bit airey.

Thanks for the reply. So do you think 5'x14' would be pushing it?

Absolute maximum for flowering for 2 x 1000 watt on a mover would be 10 ft by 6.5 ft, with vegging you could get away with less light and a bigger area covered.

I have tried a mover several times and I'm afraid I didn't have very good results but I do know some people who swear by them

I got a liner mover and I love it... I would deffinately reccomend it if you're gona grow on a screen... worked well for me... Mine is running over a 5 ' distance and a 4' width... the lights run side by side though, vs. most I've seen are one behind the other... I would deff recomend the CL5 or CL4 can't remeber the manufactureer, but you sould be able to google CL5 light rail and find it if your intrested... thumbsup.gif BTW I used 2x400 wat HIDs on the rail and got 767 grams dry weght !!!

I have two (soon to be three) 600W HPS on 6' light tracks. Each light covers one 3' by 6' tray that can have up to 21 flowering girls in them (I'm a SOG grower). I use fluro tubes for cuttings, veg and mums (cost savings, very even field of light and height is adjustable for various stages of veg growth).

Pictures in me diary.

Good luck!

thanks for the info guys mabye ill just go with digital ballasts and add an extra light or two
stuff and nonsense
I would go along with that jl I have a mover but I use more than one light and only move them about 50 cm's which makes better use of the lights I have rather than letting me get away with less lights .
