I'm thinking of getting a DR60 and putting it inside my wardrobe (it's a built-in unit and i'm not allowed to make any holes so conversion is out of the question)

Thing is - the fit will be very snug. I have enough width and headroom but the internal depth of the 'drobe is only 62mm!

I see the DR60 is 60x60x140. I'm hoping that's the external measurement and not the internal!

Can someone who has one take a moment to get a measuring tape out and tell me exactly what the external depth of the tent is once it's set up.

If i can't get the doors shut once it's all in there, then i have a serious problem. unsure.gif

Thanks

Hi mate,

i used to use the DR60 as a veg boxand it was 60cm x 60cm x 140cm

i now use the DR80 as a veg box and it's 80cm x 80cm x 160cm. i think the DR80 is better size to keep mothers.

Tent or no tent you will still need to get air in and out of your wardrobe, vent holes will still be needed unless you're going to leave the doors open with ducting pointing/hanging out. I am just about to eat my dinner but will grab you the measurements once I have finished unless somebody beats me to it.

EDIT - It looks to be more like 61cm to me, it would be easy enough to shorten the poles by 1cm with a hacksaw though. Or if you're a bit handy you could make something similar with timber and plywood/black n white poly, this might be a better option for you as you've such a small space to work with.

Cheers Indica Monkey.

I do plan on leaving the doors open with ducting hanging out. There's also enough room to get an osc fan inside the 'drobe to keep air circulating, and the room it's all situated in is very airy with 2 big windows on opposite sides of the room to create air flow. should be ok with CFL's i hope.

i think shortening the poles may be the way to go as it sounds like the tent won't fit in as it is and i'm not confident enough to make one of my own. i know it's not an ideal space but i don't really have a choice right now ph34r.gif

thanks for your advice. i'm going to have a proper read of your DR60 thread now. looks very useful.
