Full Version: LSF?

Hi everybody,

My plants are coming along well, responding nicely to the recent topping, and generally growing real fast!

However, I had a couple of spots of LSF in their first week, which disappeared for a while, but has been slowly returning...

After the topping, one of the plants drooped its leafs alarmingly for 36 hours, but it's looking much perkier now, except it's come back with some serious LSF. I think.

I see the same thing on half the plants, though not as bad.

Can anyone confirm this IS the LSF? Any ideas of other probs would be cool too.

I have some of Webby's Essence (choral singing in background rofl.gif ) ready to go. Only problem is I can't get the Maxicrop till tomorrow. I'll spray tomorrow night, so I'm hoping the essence lives up to it's reviews and nukes this shit!!

I just want to be sure it's LSF and not anything else. As a true noob, I could have easily missed something unsure.gif

Cheers all,

Z.

A single pic of a lower leaf ain't enough to confirm the prob mate. Is the whole plant showing those brown blotches?

Whats ya intake and extraction like and area of the grow room?
NoobyBud
Thanks guys,

Bish - I see the same thing on several other leafs. I took more pics, but they came out rubbish. Crap photographer here rolleyes.gif

Just to say - I'm pretty sure it is LSF, as it was there before, and I've been waiting for it to rear its head again. Hence the purchasing of Webby's Essence etc.... I'm going to apply tomorrow at the start of lights off, and hopefully my problems will disappear. I just wanted a second opinion before I spray....

Potsmoker - my intake is a 4 inch fan pulling from the coldest room in the house (odd loft style place...) through an air sock in the tent (supposed to give more even distribution - I can't really tell yet. Good for keeping moths etc out).

Extract was just 4 inch fan straight out top of tent (and outside building) until yesterday, when I got a Cool Star reflector. The setup now is carbon filter connected directly to fan (both in tent) pushing air through reflector and out. I think it's cooler now, though I only got the sealant sorted on the reflector today, so was a bit hot yesterday....

Can I ask what kind of temps you guys hit at this time of year. Today, for example? I'm at around 30-31C, and lunchtime lights off only dropped to 27C (in four hours). Interested to see what temps you guys are reading.....

Cheers again,

Z.

Mine hit 32c in grow room and 29c in flower, had to whack the extraction right up.
NoobyBud
Hey thanks dudes....

32? Makes me feel much better rofl.gif ! My new reflector is defo helping a bit... I reckon I would have been at 34 without it!

Seriously, though, 19C at lights out? WTF? HTF? (that one's How The F$$k - did I just make one up? rofl.gif )

- I guess your not growing in a 1x1 tent....... or at least I really hope so, otherwise your tent must be connected to some industrial air con unsure.gif rofl.gif

Hot days eh?

Peace

Can you get lsf in veg aswell as flower?

has anyone got any back up on this l.s.f.? i hear it banded about all the time on here.
for me,that looks like a defficiency/toxicity
i have had what people would describe as lsf on plants when the neighbouring(diff strain) didn't suffer at all....indicating it aint a fungus.
personally speaking of course. rofl.gif
bottom leaves naturally give up the ghost when the top ones take over.
best of luck,
sannies a very knowledgable man,i'm sure his stuff will do the job(by releasing micro nutes??)

thanks for that link mate.
still to be convinced tbh,i've had a few plants lying around in the garden, lotsof brown spots on the leaves,a good repot and proper care and they grew out of the spotting.
its my opinion that it's nute/air related and not fungus. rofl.gif
and i do think its mg related.
