Hi, I just shelled out £50 odd on a pack of 10 beans. but they have all failed to germinate. Is there some special way to these
seeds? Its been 48 hrs and theres no sign of life yet. I had two other packs of seeds all popped and going into their first pots
this evening. Any ideas to try? I'll admit this is my first grow but I've been researching intensely for the past year or more and
believe ive tried to germinate em correctly.

Dont sweat it ninja - some seeds take longer to germ than others, I have some that have taken a week to pop in the past before.
How are you germing them - in soil or the paper towl method

Cheers i have used the paper towel method, Ill leave them to go for another week as ive got nothing to lose with em. Fingers crossed one or two come out!
Should I soak them in a glass of water perhaps? Theres plenty of moisture on the paper towel...
Oh yeah i used RO water on them maybe i should use normal tap?
cheers guys!

Thanks for the kind words. I think ill use cotton wool next time, as i did germ some bagseeds back in the day with this no problems.
Seems a little strange that the other 8 seeds i put in are all doing well at this point though

My current grow is warlock from Magus genetics .
When I received them and saw how small the seeds were I thought to myself f~ck , there never gonna germinate.
Anyways did the paper towell method , bunged them in the airing cupboard on top of my boiler and hey presto 15 hours later and all popped.
Ain't always the seeds could be down to temps or maybe the paper is to moist or possibly other variables.....
Good luck with germing yours though

Make sure theres enough heat, set them on top of anything warm to the touch, such as a decently high wattage electric appliance, or on a window sill. Don't add any more water till they sprout.
Hope all turns out well

Why not do what the plants and nature have been doing for ages and just chuck them in some mud?

E2A: Unless your going down the hydro route of course

Panic over

, after about 36 hours 2 of them have popped really nicely now since i left them ontop of my crt. 5 more have popped but the taproot looks stuck sortof. I'll leave the straglers to go for longer in the paper thanks for the suggestion about heat.

. worked a treat. Feel a bit silly now, i just jumping to conclusions cos the other 2 packs of seeds germed alot faster

I cant change the topic title i dont think. but alas bad news i'm gonna throw em away, the 2 that popped ok turned out to be mutants and really arent growing, one doesnt even have proper cotyledons just a few tap roots in a bundle, the other i have hope for it but the first set of non cotyledon leaves theres only one leaf. i guess its just down to the seeds being old or something i have 7 healthy other seedlings tho so all is not lost yet.
