I have 1 plant that is seriously ill. I have established its not bird flu, millenium bug or morning sickness past that I am stuck.

it has been ill for a while here are my notes:

the only different thing this plant has had that others haven't is that I LST'd the shit out of it when it was younger for practise I can't see how this would make it ill I thought maybe it was more hungry but this does not look like hunger probs have tried feeding 2ml grow and 2ml bloom the rest of the plants are on 1ml grow and 2ml bloom they are all fine. I put bit of epsoms just a little though in last 2 feeds too but probs were there before and still after.

One other thing is the last pot up one of the plants got the soil that one of my lowryders did not root into I figured it had not been used so would be alright. I don't even know if it was this plant that got that soil I just know one did maybe it wend bad and mouldy??

I figured (maybe naievly that it wassn't lsf as it has not gone onto any other plant they are all sound and have touched this one been in with it for ages.

I have been cutting infected leaves off all the time and have cut shit loads off but more keep going bad it seems the new growth at the top starts off okay and nice and green then gradually goes bad.

sorry for loads of waffle I just want to sort it. I hope I dont have to kill it. Lots of pictures to follow I really wanna sort it so tried to cover every angle.

hey bro

it may have been at one time but I have moved them all about many times. I did notice the one that was directly closest to the osc fan had few crusty leaves at the bottom yesterday I presume that is cause it dries out quicker??

The sick one has been out the way of the fan for a while now though and still getting worse all the time. It affects the whole plant too but seems to be working its way up the plant as I said the new growth at the top starts off healthy.

my temps and humidity have been perfect too last few weeks 24/28c and 40/60 humididty.

Hi Growndome,
To me it looks like it could be LSF and or combined with nutrient deficientcy (spelling unsure.gif ), or nutrient lock out caused by PH problems.
But TBH I am no expert at plant problems (and could be totally wrong about this), you are probably better off waiting for a member to come along who is more experienced with plant problems, and then they will be able to tell you what it is for sure.
Watch your other plants extremely closely to make sure that whatever it is doesn't spread to your others.

thanks for looking in HT spliff.gif

the thing is this plant has been ill now for at least 3 weeks maybe more I thought if it was LSF it would of spread pretty quickly???

I am tempted to just put it out of its misery but am hoping a resident expert may come along with a simple solution unsure.gif

all part of learning eh at least I only have 1 sick one just now.

Any chance you can get it out of the pot and have a look at the roots growndome?

My initial reaction was that it was being windburnt......the plants transpire a lot this time of year and I have a few over the years go very crispy and sickly if they are right by the intake or circulation fan.

I'd agree with Buff....I don't think it is LSF, the markings are not quite the same and as you say, it would have been all over the room by now.

I'd be interested in what you find when you look at the roots.....the only other thing I can think of is waterlogging/root disease.

What is your intake and extraction like, second pic looks like lsf, im assuming you have your intake and extraction also on 24/7?

hhmm yeah hadn't actually thought to look at the roots actually cheers fresh air inspector I will pop it out and have a look later that could make sense though as it could be the only difference.

hi potsmoker. My intake extraction is on 24 hours yeah and I get fresh air intake from a window and extract to a different window. I dont have them on full power I use a primair but my temps are sound and the rest of the plants are all like new and budding nicely.

its the fact its only 1 plant affected that makes it weird for me surely it can't be environmental its specific to this one.

checking the rootball when I get home later I will check back with the results.
