Hey Guys,

So I got a small ziplock stuffed with pot, and since it's not very good, I was thinking of a way to make it into hash when I thought of something. I put the fine shit in a bowl and put enough rubbing alcohol to cover it. I then crushed it down into the bowl repeatedly for awhile, and left it to soak overnight. In the morning, I crushed it some more, strained out the matter, and evaporated the rubbing alcohol on minumum. I was left with a very sticky, black goo that gets you really baked. I can't believe how well it worked. Has anyone tried this before?

I've done it and not liked the taste of the smoke. To much concentrated chlorophel for me. Check out the herb preperations section here. There are much better receipies for hash and hash oil available.

Another solvent which can be used for extraction and cleaning is IPA fluid (Iso-propyle-alcohol). Resin glands readily dissolve in this substance and can be stored in liquid form under the correct conditions for years. If exposed to air the IPA will evaporate and leave a sticky goo much like regular hash oil.

its been done loads but reconmend only using it in buds 30 sec so it doesnt remove all the crap from plant to

Ive used rubbing alcohol for a similar process for years, its very easy and fast but makes really green sticky hash thats got a taste like grass clippings, its not very good there are definitly better ways.... however I do use RA to clean the resin out of my pipes and if your in a mind to smoke the resin (don't pretend you havent ever) you can simply remove the alcohol, try this; instead boiling the alcohol or letting it evaporate into your apartment, pour it onto a smooth plate or pyrex pie pan take it outside and simply light it on fire, the alcohol will burn away in about 5 minutes. this works best with the smallest amount of alcohol possible also RA over 90% costs a tiny bit more and is a little harder to find, but the results are much better, 70% will leave a little water behind that will also have to evaporate. carefull the plate is super hot at first and make sure to wait for the alcohol to completly go away DONT mix it in. then while the plate is still a little warm scrape up the goo, it doesn't scrape as well if it cools completly. cheers and don't ever scrape your pipes again
