I always find myself about to comment on the bad/good weather in other peoples threads, so i thought i'd start a thread where we can indulge the truly British pleasure of moaning about the weather. Speaking of which, it pissed it down today!

I hate the drizzely half arsed rain we seem to always get. Love thunderstorms and when its bucketing down though

Although my perfect day would be sunny and hot (but not sweating your tits off hot, just shorts till 11pm weather) Then a nice impressive lightning storm to watch and sleep too.

I've been more than happy with the amount of sunshine we've had so far this year. Got to have had at least 2 weeks more sun than this time last year. Up until around last thursday round here we'd get few hot sunny days them some rain then a few more sunny days. Since then the suns been out for about 4/5 hours, the rest of the time it's been monsoon tackle! EVERYONE THINK POSITIVE THOUGHTS FOR AN INDIAN SUMMER AND SHOULD MANIFEST. If the weather continues like this I might as well sling some Fish, Blood and Bone meal down and forget about watering/feeding manually. It'll save me from lugging 2x 22.5 litre jerry cans to my plot weekly

im loving the weather! it was the same last year but this year i havent kept enough plants on the go to make the most of it, im hoping we have a full on storm soon i think its coming..... i can feel it!
Much of Britain was exposed to bacteria sprayed in secret trialshttp://www.guardian.co.uk/Archive/Article/...4398507,00.htmlFirst off your government ADMITS! to spraying you in the past and so does the american government, which i have a link for. I know what a contrail is and these lingering clouds of poison aren't vapor exhaust. I know how crazy it sounds, but please do a bit of research and have a look into it yourself. Im not a quack or a conspiracy nut either the evidence is out there...

Thought it was summer? Well think again.Parts of Britain will see up to a month's worth of rain dumped on them today, leading to localised flooding and possible travel problems.
With no sign of the sun, much of south and central England and parts of Wales will wake up to leaden skies and torrential rain.
South Wales will bear the brunt of the wet weather and could see up to three-quarters of the month's average rainfall in one day, forecasters said.
The Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for central and southern England.
Meteogroup UK forecaster Paul Mott said: "It will be a very wet day across south Wales with some persistent rain, heavy at times.
"I think much of south Wales will see at least 30mm of rain through the day, probably up to about 50mm across hills and land.
"That's getting on for three-quarter's of the average month's rain fall.
"I wouldn't expect widespread flooding, but the valleys are most at risk of localised flooding by the end of the day as water drains off from the hills."
He added: "Most of England will be affected as well with some of the heaviest rain in the south west, although probably not as heavy as Wales which will get the brunt of the rain."
A spokesman for the Environment Agency said they were not currently issuing any flood warnings.
Britain's summer has been a patchy affair with a fine May followed by weeks of sunshine and showers.
The Met Office said this summer is unlikely to be a scorcher.

On Saturday, as well as the thunderstorms, we had hail

Not just ordinary pitter patter hail, but a deluge of hail some of which was the size of feckin' marbles. Two tomato plants in the back garden were shredded, so I wasn't very optimistic about the GG. Imagine my surprise when I got there this morning and found....they hadn't even been touched

Mind you, they've only had about half a dozen days of sunshine since they went out in mid-may, but looking on the bright side, I haven't had to water the little darlings. Apparently we're going to get summer between 1:45 and 2:15 on the 27th of July, so here's looking forward to that!
Peace,
Gerald

None, at the moment, as I presume you haven't got any buds (unless you're growing lowryders).
I took my lowryders in today, just as a precaution - although (and I'm guessing) unless its permanently cold and damp with not much wind for over a week you're probably likely to get budrot?
Down 'sarf' that don't really happen until November.
This weather malarky, this is quite a usual July, we haven't even had half the normal months rain yet. I was cursing the last 2 weeks as we hardly had any rain!
This summer will be fine for growing IMO.
