morning .. stoned.gif

mrs twigs and i just got wireless

took a couple of days to get the bloody computer to talk to the modem (gigaset se 587) but we got there in the end

but when i opened azureus the NAT light at the bottom was red and nothing was downloading and if it did start to work it was super slow..

so i've done some reading this morning and theirs lots of advice about port forwarding ranges and internal ip address ..

so i've gone to the gigaset/tiscali set up page thing..and

basically i need some advice before i really bugger things up...because it all looks quite serious

at the gaming and application page

theirs public port and local port options

and local ip options..

should i set the public and local port ranges to anything in between 49152–65534 ?

and put my ip address in ?

and this will sort it ?

has anyone done this before ?

i've been putting endless port numbers into the azureus port test and getting nowhere....and im starting to lose it..shutup.gif

any advice would be greatly received..

For an easier time, look for 'UPnP' somewhere in the modem/router's setup pages and make sure it's switched on, and then also make sure that Azureus is set to use it, too. thumbsup.gif

Also, check this guide out at portforward.com.

Failing that, see this page.
