Hello folks,

Been browsing this site for a few days and was SO impressed with all the friendliness, helpfulness (and jolly icons and stuff) that I thought I'd join you. I've loved the diaries and all the banter, not to mention the very helpful advice from proper growers. Top marks also to whoever runs this place, it's the nuts. One day you will get medals. Anyway, you're clearly all lovely people.

I've been planning my very first growroom for a few months with the help of the Cervantes Bible but I definitely need some advice from all you knowledgeable peeps. It's gonna have to be my loft which I'm insulating and rubbing my chin in rather a lot. Probably a smallish (w:160cm; d:60, h:160) hydro set-up as I can't manage a 2m high thingy in there. I have massive gaps in my knowledge so please pick me up and shake me at appropriate moments.

The problem in my head at the moment is dealing with height restrictions. I have an idea about bending 4 or 6 plants from a central hydro job because I'm literally having sleepless nights about plants reaching the ceiling and then no knowing what the stuff to do

Anywayhoo, I have pics and stuff of my loft space and will draw bad pictures of my idea to see whether I'm actually cut out for this malarky or not!

Now, I will do as HG advises and go see those threads. I have seen a few but I suppose I just want someone to say "Everything's going to be ok; your house won't burn down, your plants won't walk off (as per dream on Sat) and you'll have a big lovely glass jar full of bud in a few months or so". I've already bought the glass jar especially
