I've read around this site for a while now and thought it was about time i signed up.
There's lots off good info & discussions spread around the forum and hopefully i can add something constructive.
A bit of info....Ive done indoor/outdoor, used pots, drip feed and aero-drip combos, sand, dirt, rockwool & clay pellets. But equipment I'm currently familiar with.
*MEDIUM - Coconut coir/Perlite/Vermiculite Mix in 6 inch netted pot.
Sits in rectangular Aeroponics Tub (a tub fits 2x pots)
*AEROPONICS (DIY, not store bought) - The Tub is rectangular 10Hx14Wx22L inch, made of thick blacked out plastic with two 6" holes cut in the lid, the top of the lid is painted white. Each Tub holds approx. 1-2 inch of nute solution ruffly 8ltrs. When the pots are in place they should sit an inch or two above the water line. Each pot has a large long airstone directly under it powered by a powerfull airpump, there is no need for any sprinklers or water pumps. Roots grow into the chamber and into the oxygenated solution, the humidity and popping bubbles keep the roots soaked. The pots can be basted from the top by hand every few days or until they dry up. The tub can be drained from a tap at the front every week or two.
*LIGHT - HPS for veg and flower, Full spectrum fluro for cloning.
NUTES - Dutch Master Advance Veg A + B
Dutch Master Advance Flower A + B
Microbial Rootzone
Silica
OxyPlus
Potash (Heavy weight)
Buds Blood
Trace Elements & Seaweed extract foliar spray
Ozi-Tonic (Vitamins & stuff)
I have some knowledge of plant hormones or PGRs, (chlormequat chloride) etc..
btw. I was just wondering why not many ppl use Dutch Master nutes? is it hard to find in some stores?
A shop Ive been to highly recommended the ADVANCE range. They reckon the GOLD range was mostly hype in the sense that a one bottle does all product will probably never be better than just sticking with the cheaper ADVANCE range and adding the extra supplements you need etc. Personally I haven't tried many different brands, DM has worked well for me so far but I plan to try some canna soon. Plain old cheap seaweed extract can grow some pretty mean plants too...
If anyone has any questions or tips for me I'd be glad to answer or listen...
Peace out
